I am impressed with this restaurant. REALLY GOOD. The best Indian food in Oakland for sure! I am from Oakland and have high... standards of food. This place blew my mind. We ordered chat, salad, Samosas and then Chicken Chili MOMO (YOU MUST TRY). It's aNepolese dumpling, concentrated flavors. It was a wow moment for all of us. Saag chicken, Lamb, a bowl of Tikka Masala saucejust because, creamy black lentils, two Mango lassi *spectacular), The Naan was extra large. The environment was peaceful, cleanand elegant. Customer service was friendly and kind. Spicy is SPICY. Get the chutney set for sure and raita. I am in love withthis restaurant. I was so impressed. Very fresh food well made by the chefs. Bravo!! My family and I were out to dinner here a week ago and sadly we were all disappointed with the food and the service. We really... wanted to like this place but they made it very hard to. We waited 40 minutes for our food, had to flag down our server foreverything, my dish came out 20 minutes before everyone else's and they served it to me so I was done by the time the rest ofthe food arrived. The table next to us received all their food after 10 minutes and we arrived 10 minutes before them. That wasdisheartening and we were starving. The restaurant is short staffed and I appreciate that everything may go a little slower butthis was actually a matter of not being organized, aware or communicative with the customer when needed. The food was okay.Nothing special. The chicken Korma was lumpy is made with cashew nuts. Korma should be smooth and creamy. It was lumpy andbland. Not terrible, but not that good either. The house salad with chicken was also bland and had two or three pieces ofeverything the rest was a big pile of lettuce. The classic chicken curry was bland and oily. There was literally a huge ring ofoil left on the plate. I hope other diners have a different experience. Read more
5 STAR RESTAURANT hands down! Where do I begin… first of all the food is AMAZING! Nice classy restaurant with VERY attentive... staff/service!! MUST TRY! If you are considering it, DO ITTTT!! You won’t regret. I reccomend getting the butter chicken withrice or naan … and eat it all together! eyes will be in the back of your head . I always have a very relaxing experience herewhile enjoying the delicious food on the patio. It’s also never too crowded . Perfect. Love this spot Read more
Excellent quality food. Great patio for warm days. We did take out during the pandemic but now that it is summertime it’s nice... to sit outside. This spot has had large turnover, hopefully this restaurant will last! They have a lot of choices on the menuand wine and beer as well. I asked for extra spicy and it was a good level spice. Could be spicier but usually restaurantsusually are hesitant in the USA. Read more
Menu is full of delicious Indian choices. We ordered samosas (crispy, fresh), dahi chat (great shells, yum), palak paneer (full... of soft paneer), dal makhani (lovely taste), jackfruit curry (skip this one), and chicken biryani (excellent). The goat cheesenaan was ok, the plain naan is good. The food was served quickly, and tasted like it was all freshly cooked. Service wasattentive and friendly. Read more
