Oakland has an amazing coffee scene and modern coffee is definitely one of the best. It is located across from federal hall and... they have the best Cardomom Chai ever. Even though Starbucks was around the corner, is definitely come here again. Free wifi andpower outlets available but seating is limited. Read more

Great chai. 2 flavors that are each stellar. I get a 50/50 blend because i like both so much and can't choose. Go early as... pastries run out early. This means they are always fresh.... no day old muffins..... bring your own cup please. 5 star ratingif there were seating options for morning visits. Always packed with meetings and gabbing.
