Great food and great prices. Everything is ordered off-menu, so you won't have to compete for any dishes you're particularly... interested in. To rank what I tried: ?????: - Lotus Rice: sticky rice with deeply savory pork filling. - Chinese Broccoli:tender and well seasoned. - Thousand Shrimp Ball: basically ideal mini corn dogs. - Egg Custard Buns: delicate bao with a sweet, rich, egg yolk custard filling- the only item we ordered twice. So awesome. - Taro Coconut Milk Pear Cake: lightly sweet withsubtle coconut and taro flavors. ????: - Durian Puffs: I enjoyed these, but my friends did not. Not overly sulfuric, sort ofsweet potato-esque with a crisp pastry exterior. - Har Gow: classic and well executed. - Shui Mai: large and well composed, withwhole shrimp. - Turnip Cakes: chewy and glutinous, with tender radish. ???: - Pan Fried Bao: Average pork and celery fillingwith a solid bun. - Shrimp Rice Noodle Roll: impressed by the whole shrimp, but I don't love the gummy, glutinous texture of thenoodles. However, the favorite dish of one friend. ??: - Chiu Chao Dumplings: overly glutinous wrapper fell apart while liftingthe dumplings. Nicely toasted peanuts but fell flat overall. After everything, there were still 3 or 4 dishes I had hoped totry but didn't! Next time. Oolong tea was sipped throughout the meal. Service was very friendly and us dumb Americans reallyappreciated the overall English fluency. Total was $90 after 20% tip, and we left more than satisfied. Lovely experience and I'ddefinitely recommend. Read more

Awesome dim sum! The durian puff is filled to the rim with the real fruit and super tasty. I also loved the egg yolk custard bun... a lot! Read more

Seriously the best value dimsum spot I have ever been to. Their dimsum is top notch, my partner and I get it every time we come... to Oakland. The owners are lovely and super friendly as well! Our favorite things to order are the black bean spare ribs (getmultiple orders. We still haven?t had a better one in SF), the snowy baked pork buns, and the sticky rice and minced pork inlotus leaf. Seriously, amazing, authentic dim sum. If you?re really picky about the ambience, get takeout instead, but we lovethe experience of sitting at one of those communal tables surrounded by elderly aunties and uncles - that?s the hallmark of anamazing Chinese restaurant! Quite tasty dim sum, a major bargain for the price! We went at peak time at noon and still were able to get a table within 10... minutes. Everything came out fresh and quickly, I will definitely be going back. Also it is very conveniently next to BART, wedrove and that was a mistake bc it took a while to find parking. Take the public transit! Read more

Food was really good and the staff was nice and friendly. However, I am giving 3 stars because the restaurant was simply not... clean! For food that?s this good you would hope to have cleaner restrooms and steaming areas but this place was filthy dirty!Won?t be returning. Read more

Hesitated to leave my review here because this is the best sit down dim sum place in the Bay Area and I am afraid it gets too... popular as more reviews come in. I?ve been to this place twice and it?s best to come before 11am on the weekends. Only waitedfor 15 mins for group of 3. Seems longer wait for large groups. The space is not big compared to other sit down dim sum placesso no room for dim sum cart and everything is ordered through menu. There is a wait for the food but the service is amazing.Super friendly staffs and the food is worth the wait. Turnip cake is the best I had in the bay. Porridge is so yummy but soupdumplings is okay. Everything is so soft and the quality beats the prices compared to other places. Will definitely come backagain and again! Read more
