This is an amazing Oakland landmark dinner with great eats and fast and friendly service. They have some cute booths and a fun... vintage frilly apron wall. The orange juice is always fresh squeezed and the bacon is to die for. Read more

It's noisy, but it's excellent diner food, and the service is great. They used to have napkin art contests, and some of the... winners are still on display. Love the place, except for the noise. Read more

We had good coffee and a nice breakfast sandwich here. Cute little homey spot. Graffiti all over the benches was pretty cool.

Great food, ambience and service! We went in around noon for brunch on a Saturday, got seated right away and our food arrived... pretty quickly after. We had a group of 6 people after us and they got seated pretty quickly too. We order a freshly squeezedorange juice that was fresh (and not too sweet). I got a veggie meal and my partner got a frittata. Both were great! They havecute decor inside which was nice too Read more

This is hands down our FAVORITE breakfast place in East Bay. The folks who work there are so incredibly kind, and the atmosphere... is cozy hole-in-the-wall. The food is beyond delicious, the challah orange French toast is the best French toast I?ve ever had. There are also a ton of vegan and vegetarian options! Read more

This place is the best. A truly beloved local joint with a welcoming atmosphere, kind efficient staff, great food and coffee,... and a plethora of customer created napkin art. Several of us ordered mimosas and the owner suggested we would get more bang forour buck with a full bottle of champagne and a carafe of OJ (fresh squeezed), so we had mimosas for days. They also rock a fruitcup and have great biscuits. On their menu: "IF IT?S NOT RIGHT, TELL US AND WE WILL FIX IT." The owner is wonderful andhilarious. If I lived here, I'd be in this place all the damn time. Read more

The food is okay. We came here for brunch over the weekend when we couldn't get in elsewhere. Service was also okay, one person... was really nice. We ordered: Spinarrito (breakfast burrito with a spinach tortilla): overfilled with flavorless black beans. We split it open with a fork and there was like half a can of unseasoned black beans. Blackstone eggs benedict: eggs werecooked well, but oh man they need to work on their hollandaise sauce. You can see from the pic that it's very yellow - itdefinitely needs less egg yoke + lemon, and more butter. It was so thick and rich that I couldn't finish the meal, I started togag and felt sick. Combo breakfast with eggs and pancakes: the best and safest option. Our friend said the pancakes were fluffyand scrambled eggs were good. This is the only dish I'd consider coming back here for. Overall, this place was underwhelming.Give it a try if you're in a pinch to find a brunch spot, otherwise there are plenty of better brunch places in the area. Read more
