I've had breakfast twice here now before I hop on the bus to get to work. The owner is really nice and friendly. There's wifi... (you'll need to ask for the password) and tables to sit at if you need to do a little work before you go. The service is veryquick. I ordered for pickup on line and also in person and the food is made very fast and very delicious. I've gotten abreakfast sandwich (The Eye Opener) with turkey sausage on a croissant, as well as a breakfast burrito with chorizo and tatertots. Both have tasted great, especially the chorizo tater tot burrito. I have also gotten iced coffee from here twice, and theymake it well. I do not need to add any cream or sweetener to the coffee, as it's not too bitter or burnt tasting and has a nicemild acidity to it, which I can enjoy black. Read more

Great cafe in downtown Oakland. The cafe is really nice, clean, and the workers are very friendly. Everything is priced super... reasonably. We grabbed some breakfast here and the food was great. Was super satisfied with our experience. Read more
I love this place. It's a small business with good prices and an amazing staff. They closed for a bit during the pandemic, but... they are back open. I miss the amazing salad bar that they had, but it obviously needed to go. You can now order online andthey will let you know when your order is ready. You can just pop in and grab your food. The metro steak salad is the beststeak salad that I have had anywhere. It was a light on the dressing, so you may want to ask for extra. The peppers, the onions,the steak and everything were well matched and fresh. This wasn't a salad that was made the day before and left to sit. Read more
Good solid breakfast options. The sandwiches taste great (i always get the turkey, pear, brie, and arugula) and are reasonably... priced. The salad bar is quite popular, but they charge by weight, so keep some dressing in your fridge at work, ifpossible. They have different specials every day, and most days 1 of the 3 specials is some kind of salmon. These cost a bitmore, but I've never had anything that doesn't taste good. Read more
Very nice people. Food was good but I basically just ate bread. Very very skimpy. No reason to go back and I'm sad about that.
