When this place first opened I became a super fan, as a gluten free person so was so happy to be able to get gluten free friend... chicken. It was great, I?m also a chef who has ran chicken restaurants in the south so I?m pretty picky. Over the pastcouple years though the quality of the food has deeply diminished. About a year and a half ago I ordered the fried chicken riceplate to go. Got home and my fried chicken wasn?t fried all the way, it had raw flour tucked into all the folds of thechicken. I was so grossed out I threw up. I decided not to go back for about six months, next time I went I was sure to orderit extra crispy. Got home and the same thing happened. I gave up, recently my friend surprised me with lunch, it was thefried chicken plate from here. I took one bite and bit into raw flour again, I gagged and threw up. Then had horrible stomachpains for the next two days. My boyfriend who seriously eats anything, took one bite and threw it in the trash. Hawking birdplease fry your chicken properly. If you use chicken with skin or folds flour gets inside of it, it must be cooked all the way.If you are only temping to 165 that flour that?s tucked inside the chicken probably isn?t cooked throughout. Make sure you aretemping, make sure when your temp it?s not over the fryer, make sure when you temp you stick the thermometer in the thickestpart of the chicken. You should probably over temp because it?s better to have crispy chicken then raw soggy friedchicken. I probably won?t ever come back, but hopefully my honest review will help your kitchen improve and not get anyone elsesick. Read more

Excellent, excellent. And reasonable prices like $14/15 for an entree. The blistered green beans were nicely spicy and the... garlic noodles were satisfying. Michelin star chef/owner, sunny sidewalk dining in dynamic Temescal district. Read more

We usually get pork belly bowl and chicken rice and broth here. They make these dishes authentically tasty. Today, we got a... 5.5$ fried chicken side which we did not expect much about it. Yet, surprisingly, it tastes 100% amazingly like street friedchicken in Thailand. It?s crunchy and juicy! Now, I?m missing home and having this chicken with sticky rice! Read more

Always consistently excellent. I just wish I could eat their food more often. Perfect amount of crispy and juicy. Fried... chicken?s skin texture is so crispy and the meat is tender and moist. And the sauce is just right amount of sweet and saltyumami. Read more

I had a mocking bird tofu bowl (subbed the breaded tofu for the grilled tofu to keep it vegan), which was delish! I was... pleasantly surprised by how good the meal was- I also had the coconut milk Thai iced tea, which was also excellent. Thereweren?t a lot of vegan options, but I appreciated how the menu was clearly labeled (including the substitution I mentionedpreviously). Undoubtedly worth a visit! Read more

Delicious fusion of thai and chicken sandwich. My friends call it "Thai Bake Sale Betty's". Not only delicious, but at a very... reasonable price, a rarity in the trendy Temescal area. FOOD: (4.5 out of 5) Tofu Sandwich: Wow, a soft fluffy block of tofubreaded and fried. The tofu is from a local tofu manufacturer Hodo, and it's not the firm brick-like tofu, but it's more silkyand fluffy. All around delicious. Comes with a sweet barbecue like sauce on a fluffy brioche type bread. (3 out of 5) Tatertots: Not sure why this is on the menu to be honest. The group got some for the table, and it's just the basic tater tot. Comes with sweet and sour sauce or hot chili sauce. OVERALL: Really love this place. A low-key reasonably priced place inTemescal, a rare find in the area. Serves great chicken and tofu sandwiches with a thai twist. Read more

We stopped here for lunch & really enjoyed it. The tofu salad had the absolute best tofu I've ever eaten. Asked for extra sauces... and would highly recommend putting the tamarind sauce on absolutely anything. Read more
