Best deli by far all around. I'm 280 lbs trust me I know sandwiches.
Staff very friendly & helpful. Variety of meats & salads to choose from. Clean & inviting, would come back.
Yesterday, June 22, 2022 the Idle Hour Deli delivered 30+ Italian and American hero sandwiches to our Sr. Citizen Gate House... Club at the Joyce Fitzpatrick Sr. Center in East Islip. The sandwiches were packed with meat, cheese, lettuce and tomato andenjoyed by everyone, which is an unusual feat among our Seniors????. They were indivually wrapped and delivered at the timerequested. This is not the first time we have used this deli and it will not be the last. We are very satisfied with theirservice. Before hiking at Connetqoute state Park we stopped here for some lunch. The chicken salad sandwich was excellent with freshly... made chicken salad. The potatoes salad was also homemade. My wife's eggplant panini was also delicious. We also gave into oursweet youth and got a giant brownie which was just unbelievably good. I highly recommend this place. Read more
