I love Lou Malnati's deep dish pizza. However, I had the worst experience at the one in Oakbrook. I bragged about how good the... pizza is and while in Oakbrook treated a friend to it since they had never had it. I ordered a deep dish pizza and it didn'tlook deep dish like the other locations. Plus, the chicken sausage on my pizza was disgusting. There was no one at the door togreet us when we arrived and we had to chase down a waitress to ask to be seated. The fries were under cooked and I wasembarrassed for bragging on how good they were. I will never go to that location again. Read more

Love this place for Chicago pizza. Had a room reserved for 11. Salad and wings came quickly. The deep dish and thin crust... pizzas took about 45 minutes. Service was outstanding and well organized. Several people helped out during the seating and meal. Read more

If you're visiting from out of town and head to Lou Malnati's located on Michigan Ave (???? picture below) expect a long wait do... yourself a favor check on the wait time & get a reservation before doing any sightseeing. It was a 2hr wait when I decided to goeat, but do call around to other locations in downtown. Now I had to visit this location outside the city that was close towhere I was staying, if you're coming in from Butterfield RD you won't be able to see the restaurant, it is located behind abusiness building. There's a sign on the road but it throws you off a bit not seeing the restaurant, Plenty of parking which Iliked. The atmosphere is great inside and if you are planning to go for pickup they have a separate door on the left side fromthe main entrance. OK back to the inside, they have plenty of TVs in here playing something different, so if there's a gamecoming up and need a spot to hang out you'll be satisfied here. Yes there's a bar if you want to know. And they also deliverincase you can't make it. The pizza is all I had so that'll be all I will talk about, for all the first timers the pizza willtake 30 minutes so if you plan on taking an extra home plan ahead. I ordered the small or the 9in of the Chicago classic, thatgets you 4 slices of that crispy thick crust, that you can pick up and eat like a sliced pie but it'll be hot and burn so notrecommend it. The sauce was delicious with some of the tomatoes still visible and the cheese was just cheesy and melty gooey,the italian sausage topping was perfect... remember now this is the Chicago classic if you want other ingredients like peppers,mushrooms, olives, pepperoni etc.. that's up to you but when in town you go for the traditional. I guess the chef did not read the order, we have been huge fans of the Lou but this is the second time this is happening. The... first time this happened we were May be it was an off day so we order again a week later and still disappointing. No way thispizza was light on cheese. Sorry not coming back very bad.
