Reviews for Luna's Pizza & Restaurant in Oakboro, NC
Order from this place if you only want part of what you order. I?ve ordered a couple of times and each time they forget... something. This time it was a $9.00 Greek Salad. Read more
Ordered by style pizza. Paid extra for 2 toppings. The crust was tough, rubbery. Sauce, cheese and toppings very skimpy. Never... had pizza so disappointing. We're from NY so know what good pizza is. The cannolis we're the only saving grace. Called owner tolet him know. He ghosted us twice. Said he had to look up our order. Never did. We have the receipt w/all info. Apparently notinterested in customer satisfaction or good customer relations. First time customers but don't think we will be getting theirpizza again. Luna's loss as we've already let a few people know about customer experience. Read more

Tried giving them a few chances. Pizza is ok. Ordered an Italian sub, it was anything but. Couple of slices of ham and bologna,,... mostly lettuce, and miracle whip. Really miracle whip!? Only thing consistent is the rude staff. Read more
It seems like a family own restaurant. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It would've gotten 5 stars but the pizza tasted... like is was missing cheese. But that might be just us since we like our pizzas heavy on cheese without having to ask for extracheese. The sauce was awesome and had the right quantity of it. The dough was crunchy and thin. It wasn't greasy like otherplaces but that might be because it didn't have enough cheese on it. Read more

Great pizza, nice restaurant. They've done some upgrades here and it's very nice. It feels very clean but the first thing I... noticed is a musty smell like perhaps the rugs or mop heads aren't clean. I quickly got used to it and it didn't impact my mealin any way so not a big deal but that was my first impression. You do order at the counter here. Then sit down with a tablenumber. They bring out your food. You clean up your table yourself as you leave. We all ordered slices. They are huge, like bigas your head huge so keep that in mind when ordering. You may not need two slices here! You can also eat it like a traditionalNew York slice! The taste was perfect! I sprinkled some parmesan and red pepper flakes on it and it really made it awesome! Veryimpressed with the taste of this pizza. We also ordered garlic knots. They were very oily which I thought at first was a badthing. I later discovered if you dip those knots in the oil, it tastes amazing!! I loved the parmesan on them. I think they'd bebetter if the oil was on the side for dipping. I may try asking for that next time. My husband ordered a salad and while I chosenot to get one because they didn't have homemade dressing (which I found was wrong. If you order the oil and vinegar, it appearsto be made in house), I was a bit jealous. It had several toppings including banana peppers and looked delicious. There is ahandicap accessible ramp to the front door. You do have to be on gravel before reaching the ramp Overall this place is great! They're getting ready to offer delivery through GrubHub which I think will be great!! Especially for those of us that don't liketo come to Oakboro because of the 20 speed limit! Ha Edit: on second return, no weird dirty smell! I did feel like they changedthe oil and vinegar but I'm not totally sure. Had an Italian sub this time. Aside from not really liking the Italian dressingthis time (oil and vinegar), it was pretty good. If I had to do it over, I would not get the h Read more
The food was bland and just wasn't great. There are better options for pizza and burgers. The person that took our order was... difficult to understand and wasn't very friendly. It felt like we were inconveniencing her by making the decision to eat there. Read more
