Lord Jesus. Sometimes its great going to waffle house and sometimes I'd rather put a hot poker down my own pew hole. This... morning was the latter. Waited for 15 mins to be seated. A bit of Americana I love: late night breakfasts at dinners such as this. Coffee is plentiful, WH's waffle is legendary, and... their breakfast platters as good as home made. Hanging out with the late crowd, ... is pretty interesting too. Attention andservice are second to none. (And as of right now,$11.00 buys you a huge breakfast.) This is the nastiest, most disgusting Waffle House I've been to. Both men's and women's stunk, had feces and urine all over I... didn't even let me kids wash their hands in there. I put ketchup on my hashbrowns and it was so spoiled I spit it out on myplate almost threw up. Most tables were dirty. Nobody bothered to clean. There was a girl w/ long dirty blonde hair that had itdown going all over the place. The one server Clarece was very nice though. Husband's food wasn't too bad. I couldn't tell you the last time I was in a Waffle House, but this one really impressed me. When we first walked in there was... no seating. One of the waitresses Diane saw us waiting and hurried to bus a table so we could sit. She was awesome, veryattentive and made she, sure we had everything we needed. When the food came out, my eggs didn't look like they were cookedproperly in her opinion and she immediately had them remade for me. I honestly didn't care but it was important to her that myfood came out right and I appreciated that. Their menu is really no frills and very basic and minimal. I wish there were otherhealthier options like fruit but it is what it is. Thanks Diane for the great service!! Read more
I am not here to bash WH, however, this location, on this day, was the worst WH experience I have ever had dining at one of... their locations. The entrance was cluttered with litter. The restaurant was as usual --not that clean, and the Windows were indire need of cleaning. The eggs and toast were good. The bacon was way over cooked. My wife was excited to have a waffle. Sadly,it was under cooked and mushy at one end. We are not fussy, and were surprised at the lack of cleanliness and just so sofood. Our waitress was the only reason we didn't walk out. Not her fault. We will not eat at the Oak ridge again. Shame. Read more
