For it to be called a soup kitchen. I ended up not getting the soup because it was hot that day but I got a sandwich and I must... say it tasted great. The place was like a mom and pop style restaurant. The people there were really friendly and the priceswere very reasonable. I will have to come back and try the soup one day! Read more
Amazing. After 8 years of working in Oak Ridge I finally decided to try The Soup Kitchen and all I can say is wow. I got in just... before the lunch rush and got the tomato soup and 3 cheese grilled sandwich. Firstly, that tomato soup is more of a stew it isso thick and simply amazing but that grilled cheese was next level, even plain. I will certainly not wait 8 years to return. Read more
Our visit to the Soup Kitchen was the first time in years. We made the deliberate side trip visit as a remembrance of the time... we lived in Oak Ridge about 25 years ago. The place was just as quaint as always and the food is still the best soup and sidesaround. The variety of soups and bread can?t be matched. Generous portions are the mainstay with delicious choices.
