Watching the news i seen wendys offering free sandwiches on veterans day with with proof of id. I live 50 feet from wendys on... madison and harlem. Doors were locked when i arrived so i went back to my car and went through the drive through. I asked forthe the veterans day meal. Was told this wendys does not participate in that. time was around 902am. I dont care either way butthe advertising acting like your being nice to military and veterans and then not offering something or teaching your employeesof your current promos. This is one of the most tragic franchises you'll ever come across. Budget at least 15 minutes of your time if you plan to go... through the drive-thru, even if it's for one small frosty. This location has been a dire experience for several years running.Once a year I think to myself "Surely I just caught them at a bad time, they can't really be THAT slow." And every single timethey really are that slow. I feel bad for the employees who have to take on the frustrations of customers, they don't deserve itof course. They really need to just shut down and start over with totally new management. I beg you not to go here if you are onany sort of time constraint. Read more
Bad customer service, rude store manager. My order was screwed up big time. I ordered a burger with NO MAYO and they put extra... on it the burger was uneatable had to throw it out they didn't send my drink the fries were cold like they had been in thefridge. I called the store the person answered was rude and NO help at all. Told me next time get up and come to the restaurantmyself. I called the 888 number and got no one, I sent an email and still no reply that was 2 weeks ago. I'll never use theWendy's app again and I'll never visit this restaurant again. 8/22/22 3:00PM Wendy's on Harlem and Madison in Oak Park DON'T EAT AT THIS LOCATION... I went in to use the restroom before I... ordered. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. The women's restroom is so dirty I didn't even use it. I asked to use the men's restroom insteadit was a bit cleaner but I didn't use it either. The sink was so dirty in the men's restroom it looked like it ain't beencleaned in weeks. I placed an order then asked to speak to the manager to bring it to his attention. Then I noticed the frontcounter how dirty it was and the restaurant wasn't even busy inside. I cancelled my order and asked for my money back. I canonly imagine what the kitchen looks like ???????? This was my first time at this Wendy'slocation. I ordered the rib tip dinner which included rib tips, garlic bread, fries and... Cole slaw. Everything was delicious. The staff was courteous and professional. The food was ready fast. I will definitely begoing back. Read more
Attempted to order food here. Pulled up and was told I had to wait 10-15 minutes because of a shift change. So I wait and pull... into the parking space. Went back around after the time was up and told I had to wait the same again because of a shift change.So once again I pull into a parking space. This time I pull around there are employees outside, talking to one another throughthe drive through window and just appear to be having a good time with one another. I don't eat at Wendy's often but yesterday, I was in the area and decided to stop at this particular location for a bite to eat.... It was my first time eating from this location. I did not go inside. Instead I drove through the drive through. I kind of regretstopping at this Wendy's because the young people (yes, they were young - one girl and one guy) working the drive through were... odd individuals. I don't want to say they were rude or disrespectful, but I do, however, feel they were ignorant. I drove upspeaking into the intercom and gave my order. Afterwards, I said "thank you", there was no response. Didn't think anything ofit. I pulled up to the window to pay. I said "hello" and gave the young lady my card. She didn't acknowledge. She looked medead into my eyes and totally ignored me. No problem. I proceeded to the next window to get my food. When I got my food from theyoung man, I said thank you and he said, "uh huh". I'm sorry, what? ???????? What in the world ?!! No people skills, nocommunication skills, no customer service skills. Nothing! Needless to say. Waited over 15 minutes at the drive through window with no response. Pull around to the window and the cashier finally... acknowledges that maybe her headset battery died. She won?t take our order and suggests that we need to get back in the verylong drive through line again. Really poor service. Some of the worst I have ever had at any fast food chain restaurant ever.
