If you haven't been here yet you absolutely need to come here. The food is phenomenal, the staff is fantastic and the overall... experience is worthwhile. Definetly a gem in Oak Parks Art district. One of the worst in my experience. The food quality and the quantity both are horrible. We took Salmon and Veggies and Basil... Chicken. The salmon one had veggies that possibly wont be eaten by cows. Lots of soy sauce. The salmon piece was exactly1.5"x1.5"x1.5". And that thing costs $16. For the Basil Chicken, we got lots of soy sauce taste but no taste of basil. The riceamount is even less than what a kid will need for an entree. And that thing costs $15. Literally wasted about $40 with taxesetc. Definitely not going back. Choose ur food wisely. Read more
Passion with a twist of happiness. They have a happy hour 4 to 6 i was surprised the menu of course they have a a variety you... can't skip the sake the apple one was smooth and the sushi was excellent. Mora Oak Park has what families are looking for... great location, options and plenty of street parking. Their bar, cocktail and... Filipino Japanese menu aims to please. One of the very few Asian food restaurants in the area offering Gluten-free, Vegan andSoy Free options. Appetizers, Tempura, Robata Grill, Noodles, Soups and of course Sushi. Started with Lumpia, mini crunchy eggrolls, sweet and sour chicken skewers and salmon from the Robata grill. Our Mini egg rolls were a hit, with a flaky deliciouscrunch, paired with a sweet chili sauce. Entrees of Tempura Shrimp and Spicy Salmon sushi rolls were a perfect blend of heat andcrunch. Side of rice accompanied the Robata and the only fault were green beans that lacked the flair and flavor. Maybe a touchon the grill to lock in the ponzu sauce... Nevertheless, Mora Oak Park will be on the list of go to places as they have HappyHour specials at the bar! Read more
Really awful dinner here. Food is sloppily prepared, with low quality ingredients. Edamame was under-salted, gyoza were... overcooked and lukewarm. Asparagus was flavorless, only accompaniment was stale crispy onions. Green beans were bitter, too muchburnt soy flavor and fatty meat bits. All rolls were slow to come out ... over an hour! Fish was low quality scrapings, and crabdid not look or taste real. Creamy sauces were distracting and added mediocre at best flavor. Service was lazy and forgetful ...staff meandered around, avoiding eye contact with all customers in a mostly empty room and pretending to work as they stood in agroup and chatted. Our waiter Tony disappeared for more than 30 minutes. A complete waste of money and 1.5 hours. A back roomhad tables full of dirty dishes needing to be bussed. Read more
Went here with my son and husband for a spot of lunch before going to the Michelangelo Exhibit. Open floor plan with an airy... atmosphere. Great food with tender meat, fresh ingredients, delicious flavour. They have vegan dishes as well. The Halo-Halodessert with purple yam is one of my favourites. I have to come back to try the other dishes. The place was clean, the staffwas friendly, and my husband liked their top shelf gin. Read more
