Ordered 2 6 wing dinners for 30.00. Not worth the price point. Some of the smallest wings I've ever had. Sauce was okay, but not... enough. It was just okay, nothing to be excited about. The chicken was good but a strange place. The place was really cold it was about 70° outside but inside of this restaurant it... was cold even the cookstaff had coats on I've never seen anything like that before were you working with a grill or a fryer orwhatever and you were cold even back where the cooking was done but overall the food was good just like Harold should be. I'd like to rate this place higher. I know they're just opening recently, so I'm sure they're having a learning curve. But the... wait time is very long. We called in our order and we were told 20 minutes. We got there around the 20 minute mark and paid.Then proceeded to wait an extra 25 minutes!!! I'm from the south side so I definitely know how the wait can be for Harold'schicken. But it was a light night, not packed and seemed mild for any restaurant. The second time we went was a little better.But, I will say this. I was highly disappointed in the large fries. There's no way I paid for a large fry and got what looked tobe a small. There was so much room left in the basket and then there was bread underneath the fries. So it wasn't even as fullas it looked. That isn't great. That don't put enough sauce on the chicken. I could go on, but I won't. I wish them the best andI hope they are really successful and get those things in order to bring back people who really like the name Harold's. But I'mout on this place. The chicken was pretty good. Not as good as Uncle Remus but close. And the Shrimp was really really good. Not over cooked and... really fresh. Service was friendly. They slow as heck on cooking but hey, it's not a lot of workers right now, so I gave thengrace for that. Read more

I gave it 3 stars because I feel like this place is hit or miss. The first time I went, I had no problems except that I noticed... the portion size is much smaller than other Harold?s I?ve been to. I extended them grace saying they were new and they?relocated in OP which I?m sure is not inexpensive to rent but my last visit just didn?t do it for me. To start with thepositives, the food was good my first time, the venue was clean, and I believe the service was great. They were patient witheveryone who walked in during a very busy period. Unfortunately, I?ve already noticed that they do not seem to operate wellunder pressure. My food was over cooked, I was told I couldn?t have my meal the way I asked because they were busy and shedidn?t want to chance it getting messed up, the picture below displays a LARGE order which is actually a very small order in alarge container, and then I wasn?t given my full order which I am sure they would have corrected but I was tired and didn?t feellike going through the trouble of calling or going back up there while they were extremely busy. I do believe they would havecorrected it as they were very apologetic to everyone who walked in. Also, the prices on my receipt did not reflect the priceson their list. To their defense, they said they charge for using credit cards and maybe that reflected in the cost of the food.I don?t know but everything I ordered cost me more than what was advertised. Everything in pic cost me $19 without a portion ofmy order given to me. Not happy about that. I am willing to update my review later but for now I think I am being generous bygiving 3 stars. My honest suggestion (not being facetious) is IF in fact the rent does cut into the cost of inventory for foodand portion sizes given to customers, then it could help to find a better location. I ordered 4 wings and they were fresh and hot.My order took 30 minutes that was a long wait!!!! Imagine if you were on a lunch... break you would have spent your entire break waiting on food and never having an opportunity to enjoy your food. ,it was notcrowded at the time. I did notice that 2 employees taking a lunch break out in the open while customers were waiting for theirorders. I'm not saying that they don't deserve a break,it's just a bad look to guests. I'm in the industry as well and knowswhat it's like to so desperately need a break,but definitely not in the public eye and not during the lunch rush. Make sure you double check your order before you leave the location especially if you?re traveling a good distance for a meal... because your order maybe wrong or something maybe missing. I ordered the 4 wing dinner with lemon pepper and extra mild saucebut my food was COMPLETELY dry and tasteless. It is evident that more people than I are glad the wait is over and Harold's is open. There was a long line but nobody was... complaining. Because the food is prepared fresh, there was the normal 17 to 20 minute wait. And still nobody was complaining.The staff was friendly, courteous, and apologetic for the wait. I believe the owner was the person who came out to greet us andapologize for the delay in receiving our food. Let me say as enthusiastically as I can that it is the best chicken and shrimpI've ever had. The shrimp were colossal and the wings were ample both fried to perfection. The sauce and Cole slaw fingerlicking good. I live close so this will become a regular go to for me. Welcome ! Read more
