Some of the best cooked food I had in a while from a restaurant. I recommend the blackened salmon. And the salad that's under it... is GOOD. The shrimp paste is tasty but if you want something good go with the salmon. Beers are at a great price lowest was 4for a corona. (Big selection of beer) I also recommend the blueberry bread pudding. Didn't even need extra sauce. the only thingit was missing is some vanilla ice cream or butter pecan. And let me tell you if you think you were going to wait for your foodnope because the food comes out fast. Read more

Loved this place! Came highly recommended from a friend and we were not disappointed. Staff was very friendly and service was... quick. We got the firecracker shrimp and fried green tomatoes for an appetizer and both were excellent. I ordered the IslandBowl (side note: the actual menu was slightly different than the ones we found on Yelp/their website) with shrimp. The bowl wasOK, it had nice flavor but could have used a little more sauce. Next time I'll order the shrimp and grits (my brother got thatand it was AWESOME) or the fish/shrimp tacos looked amazing as well. Delicious food. Great service(thanks Savanah) and laid back atmosphere. The flounder sandwich was enormous. The Fish tacos... had a nice spicy flavor. Fried chicken sandwich was so good it put me into a food coma. We came in during a busy Saturday lunchservice and they handled the crowd ease. We'll return. Read more
Absolutely fantastic fish tacos!! Everything my party ordered (fish tacos, flounder sandwich, and island bowl) was top quality... and packed full of flavor. I highly recommend the fort fisher and shrimp tacos. Don?t even get me started on the smoked Goudapotatoes. They are so cheesy and just melt away in your mouth????. The tacos themselves are also filled very generously. It is alittle loud inside and busy most of the time, but despite that the food came out relatively quick and was still nice andhot????. I absolutely LOVED every bit of our meal at Shagger Jacks. We had a short wait for a patio table so we could be seated with our... dog. We had fried oysters for a starter. They were perfect. Our entrees were the Island Bowl with shrimp and the crayfish andandouille flatbread. Both entrees were nothing short of amazing! The staff was super friendly. My husband and I both agree, this was the best meal we?ve had in a long time! We ordered the Fried Oysters, Crab Cake Small... Plate & Blackened Mahi. I?ve never been a fan of oysters, but these were prepared and cooked perfectly! The crab cakes were thebest I?ve EVER had and Mahi was absolutely PERFECT!! Amazing all around the board!!! Our waitress was unbelievable, we never had to wait for anything even our drinks and refills. It... was such a cozy atmosphere and I was very comfortable which nowadays is not easy to find ????. I'm kind of a picky eater andeverything was delicious!! The only thing they are missing is Hush puppies as they are very hard to find now. Would go thereevery time we go out to eat and they have a menu that's good for Everyone!!!
