Overall the food was really good with one exception. The Brisket was truly terrible. It must be a low grade Brisket flat because... it was dry and not cooked properly. It had very little smoke flavor and wasn't even close to tender. If I made a brisket thatbad I would turn it into chilli or throw it away. Loved my lunch stop today. Very good pulled pork excellent brisket cooked just to the point to be able to pull apart with your... hands. The barbeque sauce was balanced very well not too sweet not too vingerie. The sides were just as good. Mac and cheesecheesey runny gewyness. The beans cooked they way they should be there are some bits of meat on there too. Overall very goodbarbeque. It was empty when I pulled in but it got busy while I was eating. I ordered a half rack of ribs with cole slaw and jambalaya for my sides. The half rack was 6 ribs of decent size and tasted... great! The ribs came with a small container of sauce that you can Dib the ribs into, or dump over the top of the ribs. Thejambalaya was a special side today, it isn't a normally served side. I thought it was the best jambalaya I've had outside ofLouisiana. This was a nice lunch stop and I look forward to my next visit. Read more
Ok so we went in here for lunch today we had heard good things and I read stellar reviews . I'm gonna do the positives first .... The staff, two ladies, I didn't get their names lol ! but very very friendly and welcoming ! The place was clean and had a bbqjoint feel ... if that's even a thing lol ! Ok now I'm gonna go with the what I thought of the food. It was cold ! and the bunswere not toasted so it felt like cafeteria type of sandwich. I had the chicken my wife had the pork . The chicken was cold mushyand fairly tasteless. my wifes pork was a bit better but cold and flavorless as well. We got two sides each so we could try abit of everything . The beans were ok but tasted liked canned beans. The macaroni salad tasted bland and a bit sour so honestlywe didn't eat anymore of it. The potato salad was lacking as well and didnt seem fresh . My wife said the Cole slaw was ok butwouldn't order it again. The mac n cheese was cold as well again just no love in the flavor .I did eat my pickle lol ! When I goto a bbq joint I should be wanting more ! I am a fat man who loves to eat lol ! but based on our lunch today I dont think I'dgo back. If the owner reads this I'm sorry I'm not trying to be mean or anything I'm just stating how our lunch was. Maybe wehit an off day nobody's perfect. Read more
Grabbed food to go and it was AMAZING! The special was pulled rib sandwiches so we got one of those, a pecan praline poundcake,... and a three meat plate with brisket, pulled pork, and kielbasa. It was all delicious! We had both the bbq sauce and the mustardsauce, so yummy. I took a little of the rib meat from the sandwich and mixed it in with the side of macaroni and cheese. Themac and cheese was already tasty and clearly not from a box, and adding the rib meat made it level 10 incredible! Highlyrecommend. Very family friendly, afordable, filling, and delicious!!!! Very welcoming customer service, ladies were super nice. Pulled Pork sandwiches hit the spot with a side of coleslaw and loved... how each sandwich included it?s own little container of bbq sauce which was great. Would have taken a picture but I ate it sofast, I forgot. The brisket wasn?t very tender and a little on the dry side, not my favorite to be honest but still enjoyedit. The banana pudding was great! 4 pulled pork sandwiches with sides, 1 brisket with sides, 2 banana puddings. I paid about 80$before tip. Will return! Read more
