I couldn?t have been more pleased with my experience at Mumbai Dreams. The staff was attentive and made excellent... recommendations. As a matter of fact, I enjoyed myself so much last night, I went back today for lunch today and ordered what Icouldn?t last night. The pics attached are the following. - Sea Bass - Braised Lamb Shank - Thali Sets (lunch platter) - Varietyof Puri (puff balls appetizers) - Variety of Naan (breads) Highly RECOMMENDED. INCREDIBLE!!!!! The food was DELICIOUS!!!! Probably the BEST Indian food my husband and I have had-- and we eat Indian food... frequently because we are vegan. The service was EXCELLENT. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. The drinks!!!!!!! Again-delicious! I took my husband here for his birthday and the ambiance was perfect. This place paid great attention to detail ineverything and it showed in the food and in the drinks. They actually had a frozen rose in one of our drinks...a fantastictouch! I saw reviews that stated food here is halal, but I saw no certification posted anywhere in the restaurant reception area. Staff... was helpful, it's not a fast food joint so I suggest ordering ahead for takeout. It's a bit pricey maybe because it's one of itskind in the area. Food was good though. You can customize spice level on most of the menu. It is a bit confusing that there are3 menus, hope they can consolidate unless it's necessary. My family and I visited Mumbai Dreams for dinner and had a wonderful experience. We were a large group and were the only ones... there. There are a lot of options on the menu and everything is halal. We ordered a bunch of dishes, including both traditionaland fusion items. Pretty much everything tasted great. Every member of the staff was very friendly and the service was great.They went above and beyond to make sure our experience was very pleasant. We will most definitely be back. Read more
The food at Mumbai Dreams was delicious. We ordered multiple items from the menu including lamb tacos, Mac and cheese, chicken... tikka samosas plus more. I enjoyed everything we ordered. I would request the food to be a bit more spicy next time though as weordered ?medium? spice level and could have handled more especially if you?re used to eating spicy food. Phenomenal menu, service and prices. Triple threat right here! And the good kind! Even if you don't like Indian food, 100%... recommend trying Mumbai dreams. Had a great experience dining there on a Wednesday evening after hearing many positive remarksabout the restaurant. It definitely lived up to the expectation. The menu had both traditional and fusion Indian food which wasgreat for everyone eating. Everything was well flavored. The cocktails were delicious! So many great options but the old fashionwas definitely the favorite and what the owner actually recommended to us. The owner came out and talked to us for awhile, tookour order and is a real team player. All the service was great from beginning to end. Overall, the place is great, and I would definitely come back again!! But ofcourse, there were some cons which could be... overlooked by some. The staff is attentive (for the most part, however it was busy so can't really blame them). Prices were abit stiff for some items, but you're paying for quality so can't complain. The Nehari lamb Desi taco was amazing! Not much of alamb person but it was out of this world! Chicken Tikka masala samosas were also amazing, but wish they put more of the chickenTikka masala sauce. I say this because when you really get into the meat of it, it's a bit dry inside. With the sauce though, itwas great! I didn't get to try the Chowpatty Bel Puri, but wife did. She said it was good, but nothing out of theordinary. Next, onto our entrees! I got the fried butter chicken burger! This was spot on, although wasn't a big fan of the redcabbage (but some people are, so to each their own. I'd probably do without it the next time. Beware, it's heavy stuff!!) Itcomes with masala fries and Thought it would be spicy but it wasnt. Actually didn't taste any masala, just regular fries (tastedgood though). Lastly, got the Akbari kebab. Now, this was recommended by the waiter even though we were going to try the chickenvindaloo curry. The waiter made the Akbari kebab sound so good, so we went with that recommendation. To be honest, both my wifeand I didn't like it (but that's just us) Didn't think it was worth the price of $27.00 either. The presentation of it thoughwas great (they come out with a glass cover and it's filled with smoke, then they remove the glass cover and it's visuallypleasing). For dessert, got the rasmalai sampler which was great. We also got mango lassi. Now to be honest, we weren't bigfans of the mango lassi because the mango lassi here is quite tangy.
