Craft cocktails are insanely good. That the food is just as inventive, is a huge plus. Add to that a knowledgeable and... responsive bartender, how could it not be 5 star!!! Only thing I would change is the TV has a blackboard over it. (lol). But weare understandably in the minority, sports fans AND fine dining connoisseurs. Read more

Went to Communal Kitchen today and was really disappointed. The website mentions Happy Hour 5-7 Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday... and their was a sign outside that said happy hour Monday-Sunday 5-7. Walked in and stated we were there for happy hour. Thehostess rudely dismissed us saying that was only Wednesday and Thursday. When I informed her that the sign outside saysMonday-Sunday and the website says Sunday as well she stated “I don’t know why he put that. It’s wrong.” Seems like shejust didn’t want to serve us. Very disappointed with this unwelcome welcome after such stellar reviews. I hope the ownersknows about this. Read more

Came with 4 adults and a child requiring a high chair. Very accommodating, knowledgeable about the menu, and had wonderful... customer service. Casual, but intimate atmosphere that promotes conversation and with food that is delicious. Can't say enoughgood things, we will definitely be back! Read more

This is nice restaurant with a chill vibe and a minimalist style. They change the menu often so there's always something new to... try. Get the specials, you'll won't regret it. The food is to die for. It's no fuss, simple ingredients, yet packs a punch withflavor. I haven't tried a single dish I didn't like. Oh and their cocktails are addicting!!! Read more

Crab mac and cheese and the lamb ribs are delicious. Gave me a complimentary champagne for my bday. The blueberry and blackberry... crisp for dessert was excellent. Looking forward to visiting again. Read more

I visited Communal Kitchen for Hudson Valley Restaurant Week 2019 with my friend. It was a casual atmosphere with friendly... staff. I enjoyed warm goat cheese with fig jam which had a nice contrast for the palate. My main course was trout stuffed withspinach and mushrooms over mash potatoes. Dessert was warm bread pudding in white chocolate sauce. I savored the flavors of themeal and good company. Read more

A good farm-to-table style restaurant in Nyack that has the quality of food that can rival those found in Manhattan. It seems to... be the gem of the locals because the vivacious host and order taker seems to be on friendly terms with everyone. However, it'sdifficult to tell if being a local has anything to do with it, as we were treated to the same warm and inviting reception aseveryone else. This was our second visit to the restaurant, and like the first time, came here on the recommendation of a friendwho lived in the area. The interior has a warm, cozy, and relaxed atmosphere, which is great for our cold-weather, post-hike,dinner. They seem to be big on improving or reinventing themselves, as some of the menu items changed from our last visit. I wasimpressed by how knowledgeable our order taker was on every single menu item. We barely needed our menus, as she went on todescribe every single dish, from the ingredients to how it was cooked and dressed, from memory. After giving us a moment todecide on what we wanted, we ended up with the following dishes: Chicken Liver Mousse with Port and Hibiscus Gelee - Althoughtasty and rich (in mouth-feel), I remembered this dish to have better flavor during my previous dining experience. It wasslightly on the bland side this time around. Spicy Pork Meatballs with Chorizo Tomato Gravy and Aged Provalone - These porkmeatballs have great heat! I wouldn't try these if you can't take spice. The pork meatballs have a firm, smooth texture, whichagain, were different from the last time I tried them, and again, not as great. Crispy Brussel Sprouts with Chili Caramel,Almonds, and Rice Puffs - Crispy, but still firm to the bite, they were well-prepared. However, I found them a tad on the sweetside from the chili caramel. (Some of the menu items were a play on sweet vs. savory) Candied Bacon with Brandied Cherry Jamand Pecans - This was a thick cut strip of bacon that was roasted/baked dry with the brandied cherry jam, s Read more

We visited Communal Kitchen last Friday night. My husband and I go on those sweet dates. The host was super nice, service... outstanding. The place never got that full the entire night. The food is definitely worth it. I travel a lot and NY was myterritory for many years. That said, I am always ready to pay but this place in my opinion goes a bit far with the prices. Itdoesn't justify the price of the yucca, the dessert was just OK for it's price. I personally will not rush back mainly for theprice. It doesn't justify. Sorry!! Read more
