Food was fantastic! Wasabi dumplings were so cool!

Not sure what the high reviews are all about, ordered around $80 worth of sushi/sashimi from here and was not impressed with any... of it. We ordered a sushi/sashimi platter and two specialty rolls, all of the sushi rolls lacked flavor and the rolls didn?tdifferentiate themselves from others, all were bland, rice was hard and the tempura fillings were grainy texture wise and tastedold. On top of the muted flavors, whoever rolled the sushi didn?t roll them correctly, every piece of sushi fell apart eitherwhen picking up or dipping into soy sauce. It appears they were not rolled tight enough or the nori was too short to hold thefillings. The saving grace was the fish, overall the sashimi tasted fresh but the cuts were slightly too thick for my taste, Iprefer thinner slices. Best sushi that I have had in Eastern Connecticut, and maybe New England in general. Fish was as fresh as anything I've had at... high end places in NY. Wasn't expecting anything on that level and my fiance and I were just blown away. Cannot wait to go back! Read more

LISTEN UP this place is THE sushi spot. My husband and I are self proclaimed sushi enthusiasts/critics & this place is our local... favorite hands down!! It?s one of the few places we?re comfortable trying something new when we go and have never once beendisappointed. The staff is lovely, the food is unbelievably fresh, the menu is enormous & the drinks are soo yummy. Highlyrecommend trying the Treasure Island appetizer & the Crazy Roll.
