If pizza is what you want, Jack's is fantastic, brick oven pizza done right. After stopping in with our kids and getting pizza... and fries we agreed Jack's was a do-over. Since the pizza was so good we assumed the rest of the menu would follow. Sadly, wewere mistaken. The wedding soup had teeny tiny meatballs that tasted like chef boyardee, the broth very salty. The fish andchips - fries were the salvation of the dish, fresh and hot. The fish....not so fresh. The fish was dry and tasteless, it hadthe consistency of previously frozen fish. Advertised as fresh Cod, it was more like freezer burned tilapia. A verydisappointing meal to say the least. We may be back for pizza, but will most likely stay away from the rest of the menu. The food was pretty good, but the service is always terrible. Very slow service, takes around 10 minutes for the server to even... approach your table once you're seated. I left after ordering only drinks the last time because the server took so long to comeback to take our order. This time wasn't much different. Its only the second time I've been there and I won't be back. Themixed drinks are NOT GOOD don't even bother getting any of their specialty drinks. This Italian place is awesome, I like to go there every once in a while with friends to show them the Italian food that I love... Hubby and I went to Mohegan sun and I ordered the Stromboli from Jack's for dinner. Looks good right. It was great! Jack's is... my favorite place when going to the casino. My hubby gets his Bobby's burger and I get Jack's which is less than a 10 minutedrive away from the casino. Service is excellent. Waitstaff is super friendly. I'm not even sure how this "pizza" restaurant has 4 stars. First red flag: There was 2 half pies sitting in the display case &... it's 4 hours before closing time. Second red flag: Those 2 Half pies had no color to the crust & the toppings looked stale/notappealing. Last red flag: Quoted 10 mins for 3 pies to be ready!! 10 mins!! I'm like that can't be real. I ordered a largepepperoni pizza, medium cheese pizza, and a gluten free margarita pizza. That oven must use hell fire. I've never been told 10minutes for even one pizza pie but 3... Sigh. Should have said NOPE! - but gave them a try... The crust was beyond yourstandard thin crust. No structure to the pizza & the cheese slid off the dough when you went to grab a slice. The dough barleyhad any color to it. The pepperroni had some flavor due to the pepperroni itself but same issue as the cheese. Also, the cooktime was evident. The pepperroni didn't even cook well. It was an oily mess. The gluten free crust was good but the toppingswere bad. The tomatoes were not plump red but a translucent red. Hardly any cheese or sauce. I'm guessing because this spotsupports all the local teams is why everyone gives them good ratings. This is no where close to good pizza. I'd take my schoolcafeteria pizza over this "pizza." Wow, what a hidden little gem! We found this place on a whim after facing the stark realization that the casino would have been... over packed, so we gave this place a shot. Their salads were so fresh and expertly prepared, and they have one of the bestmargarita pizzas we've had! And to top it off, they have an above average drink menu which was a bonus! This is a covid 19 takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. I ordered the garlic knots, meatballs, and a... pepperoni pizza. The garlic knots were very good especially when dipped in marinara. The meatballs were decent, a nice flavor.The pizza was disappointing. A bit of a floppy crust, with no crispness or flavor.
