Reviews for Cheever Tavern in Norwell, MA
This place was DELICIOUS! Went for a work gathering so I can't speak to pricing but the food was amazing, service attentive,... drinks good too! 10/10 It wasn't super busy when we went but it was an early dinner on a Thursday, not the weekend. I could seeit filling up quickly. Read more
My wife had bolognese, daughter in-law had salmon and I had fish and chips. The food for all three meals were outstanding! Its... unusual at any restaurant to have all three people to be very satisfied with their meals. The service was excellent as well.Highly recommend! Read more
We went to Cheever for the first time this past Saturday. As someone in a service industry, I am aware of how hard everyone is... trying these days and this place just wowed us. Service was out of this world, our glasses remained full, our food came outquickly and our waitress, Sidney, was friendly, professional and informative. The manager came over several times to check onus as well. From the moment we walked through the door we got first class service. The food itself was also amazing and withso many great menu options, it wasn't easy to choose. I have a feeling there was really no bad decision when it came toordering. The white sangria was one of the best I've had. We couldn't have asked for a better experience at Cheever. I wouldrecommend to anyone looking for a great meal and drinks. Read more
Had 2 delicious screwdrivers with the meal. I had the pork belly hash. Potatoes were perfect, pork belly ratio was perfect and... cooked perfect. Egg was cooked to specifications of over medium and not overcooked. Ordered a grilled English because that's theonly way to have an English and it was perfect too. All around great experience, staff was very friendly. Will be returning. Read more
The patio is set far enough back from the street that it's quiet and you don't notice the cars driving by much. The patio was... very nicely done and offered quiet a few shaded tables. With the fireplace and string lights it must be pretty in the evening aswell. Large drink menu and a pretty big variety of options on the lunch menu also. The server was attentive. The portions arewhat you'd expect, the pricing for the food was average to a few dollars above average. The french fries seem homemade and werea different shape than I'm used to, they were tasty and crunchy like I like them. Read more

The fried were super crispy. The fried rice wasokay. It could of use more crab meat. The chocolate lava cake was so rich and sweet. Needed another scoop of ice cream for thesweet cake. Overall, a great time. Would come back Read more
The absolutely wonder cuisine ties in perfectly to the contemporary style. The vast menu was filled with mouth-watering options... and the kind staff assisted me with finding the item that I may like the best. I eventually ordered the Lobster Roll, with aside of Cay's Clam Chowder. Both were filled with flavor and packed with an excellent value for the price that you paid! I madean easy reservation on Easter Sunday, 2021. Although that easy reservation was quite necessary, I heard; me and my friends wereglad we made one. It is a popular place, and I completely understand that! We left with plenty of time and we kindly, weredirected to the nearby shops and sights by the knowledgeable staff. I feel very comfortable and I am proud to say, that I fullyenjoyed my experience that Cheever Tavern! I would undoubtedly recommend it to friends, family, and people who are looking for agreat place to eat! Please be sure to make a reservation to be completely comfortable with the times of your arrival anddeparture. Sat at the bar Saturday night. espresso martini was watery. I drank it, my second was better and when I asked about it she said... it was the strainer she used. At $14 a glass, it shouldn't be watery. we asked for Rolls, waited 20 minutes, I almost broke atooth on the roll, called manager over and told him to eat the other roll himself and tell me his thoughts. 20 minutes later,we get 2 new rolls with no butter. They said there was no butter, none in the whole restaurant! My chicken wings came withnothing, no sauce. I asked for any kind of dipping sauce, they said No! I asked Blue cheese? No! They had nothing. my husbandgot Luke warm chowder, and the tiniest, dried-out piece of swordfish. Then the bill came with something I've never ever seenbefore.a 2% kitchen appreciation fee?! What?!? Aren't I paying for them.to cook? we left 20% tip regardless but $180 later,we were shaking our heads.Never to return, would never return. Read more
