Best all you can eat Korean BBQ restaurant in all of the LA area! Yeah it's a little expensive ($35 per person) but it's so... worth it. Their menu is massive, has many different meats and sides, and they have tons of delicious alcohol. If you're in thearea or you're looking to try a new Korean BBQ restaurant I highly recommend this one! They even have a little robot that drivesaround and delivers food to people! Read more

Meat quality was good. Marinades and side dishes were good. Service was good. Plenty of tables and space. The big thing... hindering this place was the price, which was $32.95 a person for all you can eat. With what is on the menu, you can findsimilar places (like Gen) with same meat quality for cheaper. One of the best Korean BBQ experiences I've had in LA - no more driving to K-town for me, Northridge will do just fine, more... than fine. From the exquisite Kimchi (house made) fried rice (pictured) to the equally exquisite BTS poster in the restroom(also pictured), MGD was a mad good dining experience from the moment we walked in the door. Attentive and accommodating staff, the largest menu I've ever seen, and a K-pop playlist chock full of bangers hit the speakers the moment they saw my Blackpinkshirt. Get there early, this place fills up fast, be prepared to spend a premium penny for premium food and remember to tipwell - sure, you cooked your food, but they took care of everything else. ???? Great place where the owners are actually working alongside everyone else and talking to all their guests. Price is about the... same as Gen but in my opinion tastes way better. Their Taro shots are dangerously delicious and I would recommend trying it atleast once. Even though it?s been open for a few months now there is still sometimes a two hour wait, which says a lot about theestablishment?s quality and service. Read more

Was looking for a new Korean BBQ AYCE spot so decided to try this place out. It?s $27.95 for adults and $10.95 for kids 5-12. ... Everyone was super friendly but service was hit and miss. They set up our table right away. They do have a patio with heatlamps so we chose to sit out there with very little wait time. Our grill wasn?t turned on when we sat down which was fine asit warmed up quickly but I?m used to the grill being oiled down to prevent the meats from sticking. They promptly took our foodorder, but had to ask for a few items a few times before we actually got it. Once we did get the meats, the first round ofmeats immediately stuck to the grill and they never came around for a grill change. The sauces and the side dishes (banchan)came halfway through our meal. The marinated meats were really tasty including the galbi and miso pork belly which were myfavorites. The Kimchee fried rice was delicious. They also have a good amounts of meats and other dishes you can choose fromas part of the all you can eat. Think there were about 40 things on the menu to choose from. There?s also alot of parking inthe back just in case the front is full. I would give them a 4 stars for the food but a 3 for service. Wish I could give halfstars as I think they deserve a 3 1/2 stars. Read more

MGD knows its audience and plays to its strengths to carve out its niche in the KBBQ scene. The most unusual item on the menu... is the tortilla (ask for the taco kit to get salsa, cilantro, onions, and tortillas all together). Don't forget to grill thetortillas like we did! We appreciated the hefty size of the tortillas, but we think street taco sized tortillas would have beenbetter to match the size of radish or rice paper. The salsa was basic but yummy. The veggies were fresh! While this item mightseem blasphemous, the viral TikTok fad of patrons bringing their own tortillas to KBBQ is certainly nothing to scoff at. MGD hasrealized the opportunity this fad presents and capitalized on it. We hope that MGD can continue to elevate their taco kits tokeep me coming back. MGD certainly isn't all gimmick. They offer high quality meats and other dishes that certainly have theirdraw. The most unique item with the plainest name was the kimchi fried rice. This rice came on a cast iron plate with ascrambled egg backdrop surrounding the fried rice with a fried egg and furikake on top - unique in presentation and taste. Thebrisket and beef belly were by far my favorite meats they offered. We like to mix and match these two meats to get the balanceof fattiness and meatiness - both were superb quality and so tender. The pork jowl was firm and al dente. The beef bulgogi wasmarinated well. The pork belly was sliced thin like bacon and crisped up nicely. The galbi, jumulleok, and MGD steak were notquite as yummy as the belly and brisket but were still of high quality. The japchae was unexpectedly cut up into small noodles,so it's significantly easier to eat with a spoon for the chopsticks-challenged. The corn cheese came with a Mexican cheeseblend. Sides - macaroni salad, really good fish cake, cucumber kimchi, corn potato salad, cabbage kimchi, salad. The rice paperwas stacked a few inches high, just how we like it. MGD makes their tables highly modular by fueling Read more
