You can't get any better than City Cafe. The atmosphere is wonderful. The staff is absolutely remarkable and makes hundreds of... people feel so welcome. And the food is scrumptious. This place is exactly what you expect from a diner! Our grandson-in-law suggested this place. He loves it. It's in the Northport... downtown area (close to Tuscaloosa), and it's busy busy busy. Lots of local memorabilia on the walls.There may be a wait, buttables open up quickly.The servers are so friendly. It's a local place where regulars come for a hot, quick meal, but strangersare welcomed. You can get almost anything you can think of for breakfast. Lunch is a "meat and 3". Breakfast was excellent. I called for my group to dine in. We sat at a old fashioned dining table set next to two big window full of flies. Very crowded.... Was given the wrong tea that I ordered twice. Food was great. But flies keep landing on my residents food. I had to cover itwith napkins. Couldn?t enjoy it in peace. Floors unsafe and need major repairs and updated. Curtains rod look a mess. No realreceipts. Great cheap home style breakfast. Customer service was outstanding. Came for breakfast and the place was pretty busy but people... seem to be in and out so the wait wasn?t long. The breakfast items are cheap and you won?t be let down. They have the bestbiscuits I have ever had! Crispy hash browns! I recommend the chicken biscuit, it was so good I had to order a second one!
