The best Cafe Rio out there! We?ve been to over a dozen locations and this seriously is the best. Service, quality, and... cleanliness are consistently fantastic. The food had clearly been out for a long time and tasted like it- steak tasted and smelled like old fish and the guac was brown.... The menu said nachos cost $11.58 and yet we were charged over $13. When I asked about the daily entree specials, I was toldthose no longer exist and they do "taco Tuesday" now. The restaurant was disgusting despite my family being the only people inthe building ordering food (others ended up in line behind us). Trash overflowing, tables sticky and covered in food. Oh and thekicker.... STYROFOAM cups for water. Who uses Styrofoam clearly knowing the environmental implications?? This place is so filthy and needs to be deep cleaned! Tabletops and trays were sticky. The glass inside the store is covered... with smears and drips of who knows what. The walls, floors and surfaces of this place are covered in drips, bits of food stuff,and there are cob webs in all the corners. The door handles are just straight up nasty. If this is what the seating area lookslike that the public sees, I?m scared of what the kitchen and serving areas look like. Read more
Really good food and overall good service but they were underprepared for the rush that I was in. Small parts of my rice and... beans were undercooked, they ran out of vinaigrette, and they were low on basic foods. One worker looked like he was having theworst day of his life and it showed; no smile, attitude shined through, and he threw the tortilla on the stove top instead ofplacing it. I tried to make conversation and be friendly but the rest of the people in line seemed like smug jerks. That said,these people offer great food and great service and the feel of the whole place is authentic and super great. I loved it. I'mcoming here for Taco Tuesdays so I can get filled for cheap. Bag of mixed feelings for Cafe Rio. Tacos and Burritos are wonderful! I love the chilie roast beef and black beans! Now to the... Nachos and tortilla chips. You need to do better on the chips. If the chips are fresh, the nachos are great. Unfortunately, the3 times I've visited over the past month, the chips are stale and hard. Fix the later, and the lines may be out thedoor! Update, had the chips at lunch today, they were good and crispy. Thanks! Read more
