Very nostalgic with beautiful antique wooden booths and decor. Sandwiches were served warm with a very light, homemade bread... which complemented the filling but, wasn't like a heavy sourdough. Highly recommend the combination with ham, corned beef, andsalami. You MUST have the Beer Cheese Soup too. Damn near the best we've ever tasted. Oh, I eat sandwiches and if I have a choice to have any sandwich you can bet I'm swinging in to Hogan Bros. to get the hummus... with everything. Baby mama says, "It's their special sauce for me." Been here twice at 630pm ordering to dine in. They refused us to eat in because the dining closes at 7pm. Went today called... ahead of time to see when dining inside is done they said 7pm came at 6:30 had to fight and argue to get served.. very very poorcustomer service. Daytime workers are amazing.. owners need to talk to the college students working there in the evening. Read more
Let me tell you about my 30 minute espresso order. Stopped in with a friend to get two espresso floats. Place was almost empty.... Three tables had people and a few waiting on to-go orders. We placed our order and waited and waited and waited. I had sent atext right after ordering so I knew how long it was taking. At the 20 minute mark, I saw someone that came in after me leavewith his order. So I got up and asked about the status of my order. Nobody knew anything. The lady behind the counter told a kidto make them asap. Well, asap was another 10 minute (I timed it). So it took just over 30 minutes to get two espresso floats.The floats were not good at all. More like mud floats. It?s not like they were understaffed. Had close to 10 kids talking andlaughing. Having a good time at my expense. They were probably laughing about how long they were going to make me wait. Alsoduring my wait, a group of their friends came in and started hanging out behind the counter. I?ve had full meals at sit inrestaurants that went quicker than just a drink order. Sad that nobody cares. Not sure what was up with all of the flies inthere? They were flying everywhere and landing on the counter. They were all over the tables and food appliances. We wereconstantly waving them away. I hope we don?t get sick from some disease from the uncleanliness. Look at some of the other onestar reviews. Seems like they are always ?losing? someone?s order or making them wait for the fun of it. Need ?adults? there tomonitor the young kids that don?t care. Read more
Great place for a sandwich with fresh bread!! The line was long to order but once we ordered our sandwiches came fast!!
I've heard of this place for a year, and finally made it in for lunch today. Bustling with activity and lots of customers. ... Friendly staff and attentive to their customers. Loved the Lift Bridge Root Beer on tap! Ordered the corn beef and cup of thesausage and German potato soup. Really enjoyed the soup! Delicious flavors and very hearty! The bread on which the sandwich wasmade was equally good. Very fresh and complimented the sandwich. Sadly, the amount of corned beef on the sandwich left much tobe desired. The meat didn't even reach from one end of the roll to the other just the salad. Next time I'll try the roast beef. Read more
