The best hot dogs in town! U Dawg U is the best hot dog spot in Northfield, IL hands down. The all-beef dogs are grilled to... perfection, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The secret ingredient in their delicious chili is definitely worth theextra calories. The only downside is that they're only open for lunch, but it's definitely worth the wait in line. Read more
This place has to be the best on the North Shore! The food is consistently amazing. Everything I order is always fresh & cooked... how I want it. The owner is such a nice & caring gentleman who always wants to make sure you are comfortable & taken care of.The lady who takes the orders is literally the best, she is so nice & always gets it right! Came here hungry after a canoe excursion not too far away. The family ordered various items, but I will talk about mine. They... have about a half dozen tables outside between two and four people each, but a lot of room inside. Our three year old is onlyhalf vaxed so we chose to eat outside. They use a cheddar sauce instead of bread as the cheese. Together with the super freshmeat, it made for a perfectly juicy burger. Add in the sport peppers à la Chicago Dog and you have what I imagine would feel athome at Wrigley. I also had the chili with was really nice, too, with the cheddar sauce (such a great idea) and fresh, dicedonions. The service was great. They we're patient with the four of us and even took our order while we were in line. They surekept things moving. We ended up getting our soups right away and, at the right time, the sandwiches. Old owner sold business. Suffers from no organization. My food was just left on the counter.. no one called my name or number.... Or what ever they use. You would think for $20.00 which is what a dollar burger and fries cost. Someone would bring it to mewith all the people that work there. Welcome to the North Shore! Read more
Wow! Pow! Yeah ????????????. Kind sir on the phone guided me to this beautiful masterpiece you see (italian beef plus sausage,... with mozzarella, giardiniera, and a little sauce). Getting into this loaded sandwhich was like opening a gift and the flavorswere definitely there to match the presentation. The ingredients were fresh and quality -> could taste the flavors of everythingindividually and simultaneously -> quite the dance of flavors a-happening. Wanted to give this local place a shot because of the killer reviews it had, when I first arrived the costumer server was nice.... When I received my food I was a bit disappointed because of the cheese fries.. The cheese was completely uneditable, and thefries were half burnt/undercooked. The burger itself was lovely, so I decided to give the place a call and see what was going onsince this was my first try here. The owner Rob was very professional and handled the entire situation spectacular. We were traveling south to go home to memphis and stopped here because of the high reviews and needing something fast. The... chicken club wrap was my favorite and the whole family enjoyed everything!!!...soup, burger, corn dog, chicken wrap, and sweetpotato fries. We almost NEVER say that!!!
