Quality of food here has become worse over time. Definitely not recommended.

Suya Spot continues to be the place to get the right vibes connecting what's obtainable back home in Nigeria and here in... Toronto. The suya whether chicken, beef or mutton (lamb) are savory and/or tasty. It takes you back home. Services are good andthere's a mature setting all around. You get to listen to good music from the motherland and beyond. You should be here. Read more

My first time eating out Nigerian food since arriving Canada and I was expecting to get a taste of real Nija Jollof but my... expectations were all shattered. We ordered meal for about 6 persons and a free vegi salad on the house. The beef Suya was notfresh and the taste was very different from the Naija Suya. We also ordered the goat suya which was more like fried goat meat.Nice man, great hospitality, and thank you. Read more

Due to the pandemic, the restaurant was mainly operating on takeout vibez, but they did have few booths to sit and dine.... According to my uncle, pre-pandemic, this place was the hot spot, with a live DJ playing Nigerian music and packed to the brimwith people. However, upon my visit there was no body in there, no music playing and not the best customer service. They seemedto be really busy with takeout orders though. We ordered their Large Chicken Suya, Large Beef Suya, Jollof Rice and Plantain. Ireally enjoyed their Suya spice, it was very comparable to what is served in Nigeria. But truthfully, both the Chicken and BeefSuya were pretty dry, not to say that they tasted bad or anything, but the meat lacked moisture. It also didn?t help that it wasserved with cabbage and onions instead of tomatoes and onions. Also, their large portion was giving small, with a large price. Iwill say that I really enjoyed their Jollof rice, the flavour was really lovely and I loved how they didn?t overdo the smokinessof the rice. And of course it paired nicely with the plantain. But again, for roughly $12, the portion was pretty small. All inall, although rather expensive, if you are seriously craving some Nigerian cuisine, especially Jollof, The Suya Spot might justhit the spot for you! Read more
