The food was very tasty, the fish and chicken was cooked well. The service was good even though it was busy at the time. The... staff was very kind and did a good job. I was a regular customer here at this yorkmills location. However for a few months now they have been stingy on food amounts... even though they change their prices constantly. I decided to write this review so people would understand the change anddissapointment. For the past 3 times I've order over 50 dollars worth of food, they have jipped us the food. Each time raisingthe price. First time; food costs roughly 60 bucks. We didn't get our free drinks and we were jipped the extra fish. As younormally get 3 pieces of fish with the fish and chips meal. Second time; we paid almost 70 dollars-1 free drink, again no extrafish. 3rd time; this evening. 80 dollars, still jipped on the fish, jipped on the fries that come in the take out box anddddddddjipped on the 12 dollar orange shrimp rice. Soooooo dissapointed. I know they are jipping the food because I would go to theMarkham location when this one is closed to due to no customer's. The markham location still serves fish and chips with 3 fish,a full box of fries and rice filled to the brim. Lesson learnt you want good food, worth the price, filled the way it should bepre pandemic state- Markham location is the go to! The pictures I am uploading will show how this yorkmills location haschanged. As a result they have now lost my service. Seafood restaurant that can't make fish and chips ,is it possible? Last Sunday I decided to try some take out near by.. Tried... google to find some good reviews and "captain boil york mills" came up with really good fish and chip reviews, so I gave them acall.. First I was told 10min then by the end of call order I was told come in 20min do to it being very busy, I arrived in25-30 min (maybe 5 tables seated)and was told without checking the back that I'd have to wait another 10min which in my mindmeans the order wasn't even given to the kitchen yet!, I said OK and left and came back in 10 min food was ready!! Went homeand dressed them all up..from first looks I could tell it was over battered and greasy but I figured it must taste great withall the positive reviews..I got thru 1 piece of the 2(small fillets) and not even half of the frozen low budget fries and by thelast bite no lie I had to spit out the last piece cause it was only grease and batter! I've never felt so grease sick after afew bites of a meal than now after this.. I have to throw out the rest absolutely no way it would b edible after soaking furtherin its own sweat..???????????????? Read more

Lobster slider is far from the one in the Captain's Boil Instagram feed. I barely tasted the lobster, the mayo overpowered... everything. The servers were okay but should have been more friendly. Read more

Went to The Captain Boil York Mills location and LOVED IT! We were greeted by a friendly host who took our pictures, walked us... through the menu options and ensured everything was good. We had the Holiday Platter which is a lot of food could feed 4 to 6persons. Everything was DELICIOUS. We also had the Mango alcohol beverage drink which was delicious as well. Let me tell you this is an experience. The way the do everything is really fun. You get a bib and some gloves and you dig in.... First off you choose your meat then your sauce and finally your heat. They are served in baggies with 2 sides. Really enjoyedthis place. Will be coming back. Read more
