We have been going to this place since 2016, and it never disappoints. Tonight we arrived at 9pm and still, they accepted us... eventhough they close at 9:30pm. They didn?t do any shortcuts, they served our food with the same preparation that they alwaysdo. Fresh and hot and perfect. Yael was very pleasant and was always smiling eventhough she might have been exhausted already.We really appreciated not being turned away, hence, this review. I have never tasted a better Shawarma than this. We moved toMississauga a few years ago but whenever we are in North York, this is where we always wanted to eat. The chicken was so tender,rice was warm and soft, roasted potatoes are crunchy on the outside but soft in the inside, veggies complement the meal and thegarlic sauce!! Yum! I feel ripped off. The food was terrible and the service was poor. I decided to try this place based on the rating. I wish I had... taken the time to read some of the more recent reviews. I cannot recommend this place and will not be going back. The Food Iordered the small beef plate, and 2x beef pita. The rice & potatoes on the beef plate were bland and tasteless, and the beef(requested medium-well) was way overcooked and charred. The cucumber/tomato side salad had some old, soggy/slimy pieces ofcucumber in it. The beef pitas were overstuffed with veggies, and barely any meat. The 5 cubes pictured in the beef plate,another skewer like that was used and split between 2 pitas. This meal was just so terrible, and with everything I orderedcosting around $35, I feel ripped off. The Service When I entered I was the only one. I was not greeted, it took them timebefore taking my order, and I had to repeat my order multiple times, both while ordering and again before preparation. Theservers seemed busy and stressed, so I initially let this go. After ordering, I had to wait 25 minutes for my order. The service was straight forward and too the point. Ask what you want and you shall receive. If you don't want something, then... just ask. No additional questions needed. They accept cash, credit, and compliments. I ordered the small shawarma dinner meal.For just under $11, you're definitely getting your money's worth. Maybe even save some for another meal. The roasted potatoesare crispy and seasoned perfectly. The shawarma was standard, but the rice was piled high. This restaurant stole my heart 13 years ago and no matter where I move, I can?t find a replacement. I ALWAYS crave for this... place!!!! It?s been over 3 years since I?ve visited since I moved out of town but today at work I ordered thru Uber eats as theydo not deliver to my area. What is in your garlic sauce!!??????
