Came here thinking it was a sister restaurant to a location in Markham, but it wasn't. I got the spinach, Chana and potato Roti,... it was okay. It was really saucy, and had a decent flavor to it but nothing I would rave about. It was just okay. Read more

I ordered vegetarian dinner. The taste was really disappointing and it was the worst meal I ever had!

Awesome little Carribean restaurant serving standard Carribean fare. Great for takeout, as they do have limited seating.

I absolutely love this restaurant! This is a family owned restaurant which is a staple of the community! Try the beef roti... here you will not be disappointed! By far the best roti in the City! My family and I have been coming here for many years and itis still the best place that serves rotis in Toronto. Read more

Fantastic place. A friend did order "fixings" and some of them they did not have, but I don't know enough to know what exactly... they didn't or did have or what exactly they were. I just read their instructions. ???? I ordered the boneless goat roti andwas not let down. Haven't been here in a while but when we're in the area, this is the place to go. And they are super friendly!???? Read more

Tried out island food for launch. Jerk chicken was seasoned well. but for both roti and jerk chicken there were way TOO many... potatoes. Also rice had little of an after taste. For the price the portion of jerk chicken was not worth it. Roti was prettystuffed. They also offer in house sauce which is popular? staff is friendly ! Read more

In 2002 I lived near King and Dufferin, and I didn?t have a full kitchen. I ate the exact same meal at Island Foods constantly-... sometimes 7 days a week. Boneless chicken dinner with an extra of Channa and spinach, and a plain roti with chicken gravy. Thatlocation eventually closed. But I always considered it the very best Roti spot in town. Much to my surprise, I was working inthe East end and discovered that they have a Don Mills location. I just finished eating my original order (they were out ofspinach so I tried the eggplant) and believe it or not, nearly 20 years later, it tastes exactly the same. It?s the same family, and they definitely have preserved the original recipes. Amazing!!! Read more
