Went for AYCE lunch. I've been to almost every AYCE sushi in Vancouver for the last 20 yrs and I'd say Sushi Bella is one of the... best! Things I liked: prawn tempura, yaki udon and rolls. Rolls don't have too much rice and will actually hold theirshape(rolls would just fall apart when you pick them up with chopsticks at lots of AYCE sushi places). I felt that yaki sobawas too dry and karaage had weird peanut(?) sauce on top and it doesn't really taste like japanese karaage. It was more likekorean-style fried boneless chicken thigh. Cones were huge and stuffed with lots of rice. Udon was so so. Def will beback!! ** to people complaining about sashimi limit and a bit more rice on sushi: clearly you have never been to AYCE sushibefore, have you? Read more

First of all. Attached photo shows the rice ratio. Secondly, meats were way too salty, the beef teriyaki tasted like beef... sausages. Rice were way too sweet and sour, they tasted like they had been soaked in pickle juice. Finally. They gave us rollsof sushi that we didn't order at the end of our all you can eat time. We almost threw up yet managed to finish it. They did nottry to fix their mistakes except apologizing. I felt bad for the waitresses because they seemed really friendly but they werenot permitted to make compensations. Overall terrible experience for the price we have paid. Not to mention the excessiveamount of flies near tables and inside of the washroom. Get yourself a giant sushi combo from TnT instead of from here. You'dhave a much better time I assure you. Sushi Bella is one of the best places for sushi in lower Lonsdale, or LoLo as the locals call it. I?ve always been impressed... with the quality and the artistic flair of the creations - this is not a cheap and cheerful sushi place. You?ll find the food tobe great, lots of options to choose from. Try the rainbow tower or one of the signatures roles, you won?t be disappointed. Read more

One of my first and fav sushi places in North Van. Hasn't been too busy when we've gone and their service has been consistent so... far with our few visits. Their rolls have been great value (especially the plain salmon/tuna) with actual fish in the middleand not too much rice in the roll. Their wooden bowls weren't bad either for a single serving. Some of their crab rolls tastedsimilar so you do need to be strategic with orders. Haven't tried too much sashimi other than their sockeye which is cut thick.Definitely a place we hit up if we're in the area for some sushi cravings! Read more

The rolls tasted good but whoever cut them did not do a great job. Some of the pieces were either too small or too large. The... server was nice and attentive. My bento was served on a metal platter that made it feel like a prison meal though. Overall thefood wasn?t bad but presentation could be better. Read more
