Quick tasty good staff and service
Have been here a couple of times lately and am sure to be back. I've had the boer's breakfast and the meat lovers' pannekoek.... Both were a few dollars more than you might expect if you're used to something like Denny's, but the quality of preparation andflavours is accordingly at the next level. Everything felt clean and lean and fresh, and the portion sizes were good too. Andboth meals came with a carafe of real maple syrup. The service was lovely and friendly too. Not too invasive or over the top;just nice, normal humans. It's also a generally clean, fresh place that feels comfortable. Also a big thumbs up for thegluten-free pannekoeken option. Great breakfast choices, coffee's perfect...
My family and I went there on Father's day (only because we couldn't get a table anywhere else). We had a terrible... experience. The staff (I'm gonna be fair, I'm just talking about 2 of them, not the rest) were rude and unprofessional. As mysister, my nephew and I were sitting, she pushed my nephew away so she can put the cutlery on the table! She was mad! Then theother girl came and was rushing us to order even though we said we're waiting for our parents to park their car so we will justorder the drinks first. But she was rushing and pushing us to order the food. We were under so much pressure. We didn't evenhave time to properly look at the menu. Can't describe how unprofessional she was. We waited for a while and then as I had timeto think, I decided to change my dish from salmon eggs benedict to ham eggs benedict and she was like no the food is alreadymade. Then our dishes came 20 minutes later!!! The quality of all the 5 dishes we had was very bad. I've never been thisdissatisfied coming out of a restaurant. Never had a food this bad... Worst hollandaise sauce ever. What a waste of money, timeand calories. $140 and no one was happy with their meals or the service. Overpriced for what you get. And they ruined thefather's day brunch. We were visiting from out of town and wanted to try De Dutch as we have never been here before. We ordered Caesar salads and... every was going great until I ate the croutons. Took one bite and my mouth felt like it was burning from the taste of acetoneand went completely numb - same with my sisters. At this point, we lost our appetite and couldn?t finish our meal. We let theserver know that the croutons tasted very wrong and our mouths were burning but they did not handle it well. When brought totheir attention the lady who was taking care of us simply brushed off the fact that the croutons tasted and smelled likechemicals and was very unforgiving, as for right now my mouth still burns and has got a chemical taste. - please beware as theyseem to not be as cautious about their food safe as deemed especially for a franchise company. Unique and surprisingly great breakfast experience. Worth the money and the wait. Coffee was tasty and the window seat view is... entertaining. I had the hollandaise and my partner had the fruit. Read more
The food was amazing as usual, I worked at a DeDutch for a few years, could never get sick of it, but the service at this... particular one is questionable every other tables drinks are topped up they have condiments and we're still sitting here 40minutes later no water refill, no condiments at all, it's okay hubby got up and got his own. Nice and full now though thanks???? Read more
