Nice bar, knowledgeable bartender. Very interesting menu, food was excellent. Definitely a place to visit again.
The name is a bit misleading! Less of an old fashioned tavern and more of an upscale sports bar, or a wine bar. The food was... good. I ordered a simple grilled cheese and I was offered to add tomato. When it came it was thick with different types ofcheese. The fries were crispy, but I probably could have eaten a few more, if there were more. My husband's chicken bacon ranchwrap was on special, with a sun on dried tomato ranch. His salad was fresh and pretty! The service was very attentive andpleasant. All in all, a great spot for a date! Read more

Eagle Tavern is not far from our office and we love to order lunch from them. If you desire a wholesome burger this is the place... for you! Also, the sweet potato fries are fantastic! Fantastic small sports bar located in the Sugarwood Center strip mall in North Syracuse. Ordered a bunch of appetizers and every... one of them was delicious. The jumbo pretzel came with homemade mustard & beer cheese. The Texas Twinkies were bacon wrappedjalapeños with cream cheese. The homemade Bleu cheese with the boneless wings was incredible. Entered the bar. Only 2 other people there. Bartender greeted us and got our drinks...good beer selection. we looked over the... menu and order food. While waiting for our food we were greeted by fruit flies They were everywhere. Even in my beer. Ourfood arrived. My girls burger was way over cooked. She asked for medium. It was well done and one side way charred/burnt. Nowthat the food was out. Even more fruit flies. The bartender was on her phone the whole time with her back turned to thecustomers. I just found out about the newly reopened Eagle Tavern from their instagram page. @eagletaverncny So I decided to try the place... out again after a few years. I really enjoy the new Eagle Tavern. New management. New menu. Most of all I like the big boy beerboard. Great neighborhood bar with a local feel. Check out their Korean Wings & spicy cheese curds.
