Loved it!! Service was awesome and the food was delicious! The oysters were still a bit frozen when they came out but good... nonetheless. I?ve had fantastic meals here and meals that left me wanting more. I do not recommend the chowder as the portion is minuscule... for the price. I do highly recommend the linguine, the lobster roll, and the vegan Wellington. The halibut itself waswonderfully seasoned and cooked but the entire dish was cold and not served warm. With the price point in mind, we?d likely dinehere again but not often. Read more
Perfect place for lunch. The wait wasn?t too bad but maybe because it was overcast with chance of rain. We got a table outside... on the patio deck. Parking here is horrendous. The lobster dip is a must try. Lobster roll was above average. It must have beena newbie who shucked my oysters because there were shell pieces in it but they tasted fresh. We arrived at Blue Mussel about 5 minutes after they opened and there was already a line-up - it took about 10-15 minutes for us... to get seated. We ordered the lobster roll, seafood bake, beer & lime mussels, pan-fried haddock, and seafood chowder.Everything tasted very fresh. The chowder was a small serving but was thick and brimming with seafood - one of my favourites onthe island. Service was also very friendly. The food here is delicious, well proportioned and beautifully presented. Our server was friendly and very helpful in giving us... suggestions for what to eat and drink. It?s quite expensive here compared to most seafood restaurants but it isn?t too big of adeal after you take your first few bites. Read more
Absolutely loved everything we had, not one single thing to complain about!! We started with beef tacos appetizer (delicious..... not a drop left). Then I had the halibut (and when I say I couldn?t wait to have this, I mean I had this dish once before backin 2019 and I couldn?t wait to have it again.. and would have it again and again!!). My sister had the vegan Wellington and sheloved it, she even let me have a bite (the flaky pastry is unbelievable). We finished the night off with desert to take home,which was the cheese cake in a mason jar (loved that they made it feel homey and very original for presentation) The servicewas truly great and our server was hands down perfect, she was easy to talk to and was on top of everything (never felt ignoredor forgotten). The atmosphere is one of a kind and gives you the feeling of spacious open area that still gives you privacy.Love the design that each area is different. A cute place close to the water with great service and stylish plating! We ordered the 1lb mussels (get 2lbs for $3 more, not... even a question), lobster naan dip, freshly caught halibut and chocolate potato cake for dessert. These mussels are deliciousand the halibut was great! Everything tasted very fresh and the staff was fast and friendly. Excellent food! Excellent service! And a fun location along the waterfront in a covered patio/gazebo. We are not foodies but... enjoy good food. And this was the best on our trip to Eastern Canada. In fact, we went two nights in a row! If the halibut is onthe menu, order it! Read more
