We got seated right away, the wait staff is wonderful. The food came out very quickly. We were passing through Ohio, and got a hotel in Elyria. We searched "family owned Italian restaurant". We feel very fortunate... to have found Nino's. Such a delicious experience in so many ways. The staff, particularly Candy, made us feel welcome. Theytook time to visit with us, talk about the restaurant's rich history, and ensure we were well fed. The food was very good. Ourparty of four enjoyed selections from across the menu. There was not a weak spot at all. It's solid, properly-prepared Italianfare. The atmosphere is intimate, but not intimidating. Great local Italian food. Not the first reviewer and won't be the last, these reviews speak for themselves. Worth the drive for... the food. Pricing is very fair, portions are insanely large even for Italian restaurants. Staff is so pleasant and the menucovers any style of Italian food you'd desire. Worst food I've ever had. Cold plain bread. Garlic butter was ok. Pasta is pre-made in the morning. You can not get it Ala... dente. The meatballs are horrible and not heated all the way through. Terrible texture and flavor. The spaghetti sauce tasteslike chef boy Ardee from a can. The Alfredo is very plain nothing to talk about. Salad was very plain. I just found my new favorite restaurant! I can't believe this place has been here over 30 years and this was the first time that... I went there. The food was absolutely fantastic! It's a little older and it could use some remodeling and updating, but the foodwas amazing. I got the garlic shrimp appetizer, and the carbonara. It couldn't have tasted any better.
