The customer service was lack luster our 1st time there and there was no greeting from the guy who I assume was the owner, he... didn't seem to be having a good day and if that's his demeanor all of the time, he should really think about hiring someone forthe counter because it can make or break your business. I don't know if I would come back just based on that. It took us 45minutes to get our food. We ordered at 12:26 pm and they open at 12!! First impressions are lasting impressions. Went there on areferral, but would have to be hard pressed to go back just because of those factors. The restaurant is nice inside. There werealot of bags of something looking like trash, it was in green trash bags all in the restaurant hallway leading to the bathroom.I don't know, just hope it's not always like that. I love their food, I love their customer service. Me and my family has been there numerous times and have tried many things on... the menu (to the point where I'm sure they were wondering if I cook at home ????) we did that to get a general idea of theplace. Everything we tried was delicious..if you think their lunch and dinner is good...TRY THEIR BREAKFAST!! And they openearly! We have dined in, we have ordered out, I've never gotten delivery. I would say customer service was good for me but I'ma people person so a bad day couldn't detere me, you'd have to be completely vile for that and they weren't. The atmosphere isamazing and I love that it's family owned because when we took our LOs in there with us and they are busy and they NEVER made usfeel bad or never seemed bothered by it. I actually love this place but had to slow down because I was eating their food morethan my own because it's convenient and delicious! I refer them to every human I encounter lol.... their food is amazing andpriced good. **For those of you complaining about customer service being your reason to visit only once really have to stopbeing hard on FAMILY OWNED and BLACK OWNED businesses because there are places you give multiple chances to and their customerservice is way worse....stop. anyway TRY THEM IF YOU HAVEN'T and if you have TRY them again. I ordered Carbry's via UberEATS. They had my order perfect. Nothing was missing. I got max and cheese, spaghetti, a whiting... dinner with yams and green beans and a Blue Raspberry lemonade. It arrived hot and on time. As soon as I placed my order, agentleman called stating they only sell whiting at their St.Clair location, so he offered perch (I chose) or catfish. The sideswere amazing. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. The lemonade was super sweet (and actually purple), yet tasty as well. I suggesteddesserts be offered through the app and the next day it was! Great food! Awesome service! Had dinner last night and breakfast this morning. The shrimp and grits was really good. Ribs were... fall off the bone. Fried chicken was delicious. The food was ok. The catfish was very fishy. The baked beans and yams were good. Chicken wasn't anything to die. The polishboy... was ok.
