Suishin was a lovely restaurant with very polite and kind staff, excellent food, and a quiet, calm atmosphere. We came here for... a little night out, searching for a new sushi spot beyond our usual haunts. This restaurant was highly rated and the menu lookedright, so we stopped by. I am glad we did. We enjoyed every bite. The sushi was fresh and expertly prepared, each item uniqueand flavorful, worth it 100%. Our server was attentive and very helpful, constantly checking in and offering recommendationswhen appropriate. We would definitely come here again and hope you will give it a try! Read more

It was super busy and they were short staff and they were still wonderful!

This is the most delightful sushi restaurant in the Cities. I prefer this to Masu or the all-you-can-eat places. It is... criminally underrated. My recommendation: Gyoza Potstickers Miso Soup Mr. Winter Roll (secret menu item) Scott the usual hostis excellent and always happy to provide great recommendations and even greater service. The staff was friendly and the menu was simple, but the food tasted off. It?s like comparing pizza from dominoes and pizza from... public schools. The appetizers and sashimi were expensive. The water tasted like tap water, but a bit fishy. The miso soup was alittle salty, the tamago sashimi was a little sweet but looked different, and the sushi was plain and small. The sashimi didn?ttaste like sashimi lol. It doesn?t seem fresh because you couldn?t taste the distinct difference between salmon and tuna. Thechicken katsu?s sauce also tasted unusual like straight up soy sauce and the broccoli that was served with it was salted andboiled. I eat sushi a lot, but the food from this place despite their rating tasted very odd. The restaurant did not have anycustomers when we were dining. I wouldn?t come back, but the staff deserves two stars for being friendly. Read more

3 STARS = IT'S OKAY. The employees were great and nice. Service was excellent. We got our food quite quickly! The entire place... was clean and tidy. The sushi was alright. It wasn't the best quality as a piece of our sushi fell off the Nori in our SpicyTuna Roll. The Spicey Salmon Roll was not spicy but it was okay. The Philidalphia roll was okay; rice was soft and it did havea creamy texture to it which made it quite good. The Ramen, it was alright; the broth wasnt thick but it didn't exceed thequality of other Ramen places around the cities (See my ramen suggestions list). The Udon dish was probably the most deliciousmeal. Overall, this place DEFINITELY gives you 100% service. The overall food was alright. Would I come here again? Maybe sinceits the closest Japanese restaurant around in the White Bear Lake/North Oaks/Shoreview area. I would definitely suggest cominghere for lunch. This is a VERY high '3' out of 5 for me.
