I drove an hour or so just for these turkey wings and I do not regret at all!!! The portion size is HUGE and the amount flavor... is COLOSSAL! I recommend this place to anyone in search of true affordable soul food! Customer Service was great and the waittime was reasonable seeming the food being cooked to order. I love this place! I ordered the "grilled shrimp" in which they were not even grilled more like steamed thinking that it was supposed to come with... rice as pictured in her videos on Instagram, but it didn't for some reason ???? regardless the beans were very sweet and full ofmolasses tasted more like sweet potato pie and the Mac and Cheese kinda wasn't it, I also went there after being told they wouldhave Dressing yesterday and I got there and of course they didn't have it. The first time I went the wait was 2 hours but the food was good, so then I came back a second time and the food tasted totally... different in a bad way. The baked beans was way too sweet , the chicken bites was soggy and the grandma Mac wasn?t maccing. Theonly difference was the service was faster. All in all, the experience could have been better. My girl took me here to get some food. She said it was a good spot with good food. She ordered the turkey wings i ordered the... lamb chops and she ordered the kids some fried chicken wings. I ordered lamb chops, green beans, rice and pigeon peas and Grandma mac. The cashier told me it would take my food 45 + minutes... to cook and there were also signs that stated all food is cooked to order. There is no pork in the beans and the Mac did tastelike a grandmother cooked it. I received three chops cooked medium which I loved. I also purchased the Carribean Punch whichtasted great, I could taste the notes of peach and mango. I received my order in less than 45 minutes.The owner was really niceand had great customer service. The cashier?s customer service was not as good as the owners however my experience was pleasantand I appreciated her telling me how long food would take to cook before ordering. It is a challenge to find authentic + goodsoul food in Miami and THIS IS IT!!! I will continue to support this Black woman owned business as the entire menu looksdelectable and the owner is so nice. Well, lets see if I have enough "characters" for this review, if not I'll write a second one. I saw TreatsnBeats on Tik Tok and... decided to give it a try on a weekday (from past experience dnt try small restaurants on the weekend). Went at 2pm Wednesday Oct12, 2022. As I walked in a man was sleeping in a chair, 1st red flag. I placed 2 orders and the wait time was 40 mins. FYI, nocollard greens on Wednesday. Service charge 3.99% and extra $1 if u want sweet heat sauce on the side. After an hour an a halfwait for lamb chops, yams, macaroni, friend chicken and banana pudding. I was asked if I wanted to cancel the order because Iasked how much longer. Poor customer service from the cashier, Manager stepped in and said they are overwhelmed or stressed,that still doesn't warrant poor attitude. Food was ok, I would have liked to return to try something else on the menu, but dueto this awful 1st time experience I will not be returning. I really like this place & the owner, who took the time to make sure our order wazzz on point, wazzz aahhh-mazing ... my niece... recommended this spot & it didn't fail. She & her buddies frequent this place several times weekly. I truly enjoyed my meal &the banana ???? pudding wazzz simply fantabulouzzz ???? ... it wazzz really light & favorable ... I'll be in ft. First visit food was delicious, we tried the fried shrimp dinner and fried catfish nuggets. Drinks are a must try as well.... Wasn't a fan of the banana pudding though but that's just my opinion and taste, try it for yourself. Cornbread was bomb and Idon't eat everyone's cornbread a definite must try! Read more
