Reviews for Whole Hog Cafe North Little Rock in North Little Rock, AK
This place has won many bbq competions 15-20 years ago. However, competition bbq is different from restaurant bbq. The brisket... seemed to have been shaved and not sliced. It was paper thin. Perhaps to hide the dryness like the ribs. They were dry and hadno flavor either. Same for the pulled pork. The ribs were also dry but salty. Maybe I got day old meats since I was there notlong after they opened. The baked beans were too salty for my liking and I use salt liberally. I could not finish the potatosalad. Its creaminess was too rich for me. I love potato salad so I was disappointed on this one. The sausage was good as wellas the cole slaw. The mac and cheese was decent. Adding bbq sauce to the meats made it edible. Unfortunately, not enough for meto finish my meal. I still have the leftovers in my fridge with no desire to finish it. Read more
Honest, you?ve GOT to try this place! Wife and I just got regular bbq sandwich but it was incredible! Service, atmosphere and... price was good! The only thing that struck me was the price for a 16oz draft beer?.$5.00 bucks. Can?t go that route especiallywhen I can buy a 30pk of bud light for $30.00 ???? BUT, this establishment gets a 5 star from me!! Read more
Whole hog Cafe has excellent BBQ and great customer service. They are one of the few restaurants locally (in NLR/Little Rock) I... can think of that consistently gives you a great product. I am a big fan of their pulled pork, potato salad, and ceasar saladwith pulled pork. Below is a photo of their Caesar salad with pulled pork, ranch, and their #3 sauce. Delicious! Read more

We visited Whole Hog while traveling through Little Rock. Both my wife and I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with sides. For... sides, she ordered a side salad and potato salad and I ordered baked beans and cole slaw. The meat in my sandwich was lean andtasty, but could have been smokier. My wife got a couple globs of fat in her sandwich, so it should have been pulled morecarefully. The unfortunate bites of fat caused her to leave the sandwich half uneaten. As for the sides, the baked beans weretasty, but they seemed to be canned beans that had been "doctored up." The side salad was a basic bowl of greens. The slaw wasgood, made with crisp cabbage and not too sweet. And the potato salad was creamy and delicious. I like that it wasn't sweet andthat the peelings were incorporated into the salad. The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant and the place was not busywhen we arrived. There seems to be ample seating. All in all, the experience was good but not great. We feel there are betterchoices for BBQ and the meal was forgettable. Read more

Dropped in for lunch. Ordered the pulled pork plate with potato salad and baked beans. Also came with a roll. The pulled pork... was moist and tender, excellent. The potato salad was kind of bland; the baked beans were flavorful. The roll was dry. Theyhave six sauces to choose from to put on your meat. Read more
Good place for bbq, they have lots of championships. The ribs are really good with a really good smoke ring on them and a rub... crust. What I really liked was their Bbq sauce flavors, they have 6 of them, you should try #6 and #4 for sure. Read more
