Reviews for REGGAE PON THE GRILLE in North Lauderdale, FL
I searched this area for an authentic Jamaican restaurant and we were not disappointed with Reggae pon the Grille. I had some... developmental chefs with me researching Caribbean cuisine. We literally ordered everything on the menu. The atmosphere and bararea was unassuming and they played the music too loud, but the food was outstanding. Co-owners Nadine and her chef-husbandwere a delight. A first generation immigrant, she sat down with us for over an hour and explained every dish in detail, showedus prep techniques, and shared a few family secrets. It?s hard for me to suggest a particular dish. We enjoyed all. If you?rein this area, support this family run business. You won?t be disappointed. Read more
I should have left when the lady started off with a major attitude, but I had driven a long way to get there. The menu looks... like they have alot of different options. Unfortunately, I stayed and ordered food. The jerk chicken was dry and a tiny portionof chicken with a whole box of rice. No jerk sauce was available, so it was dry and very plain tasting. The brown stew fish wasalright but Nothing special. The lady's rude attitude made me not want to come back. Bad experience & bad food. Read more
I haven't been back in 4 years. We had the Mannish water soup (goat head) and it was a wonderful flavor; not too spicy. The... rice and peas and oxtail was delicious. We also had the jerk chicken and I heard it was impressive. The food containers hadsteam coming out after Uber delivery! We will definitely order more often ???????? Read more

Food was great. Rice & Peas love and I don't eat restaurants because they don't use coconut milk or season good. Trump's up
Went there today(Sunday). Not crowded. Ample space. Their lunch specials are very reasonable. Good portions, the food is not... oily, flavourful, the server asks you if you want gravy and where. She gave me just enough gravey on my meat, because I am not agravy lover. She was nice. You can pay with your credit card. The stew chicken and callaloo rice was lovely (even the slices ofginger with the chicken was good) and the guava and pineapple drink was great as well. Im surprised no sugar was added to thedrink but cudos. The place was clean (I didnt go to the bathroom so I cant share anything on that. They seem to have liveentertainment, but I'm unsure of the dates. It is a nice place for lunch. They do serve breakfast abd dinner. I highly recommendthis place. They are also beside taste rite if you love patties. Read more

They say that is was a specialorder. I think they should specify what they have in the restaurant and on the website. I ordered brownstew fish, fried fish, side order of callaloo, mackerel and dumpling. The food look good , but sad to say I was very disappointed.
