I do understand why people always told me to never eat plaza sushi. For years I've never had a bad experience, but this... restaurant really made me aware. First thing when I walked in, asked to be seated inside, but the host/waiter told me to eatoutside, because the inside area is for delivery drivers waiting for their deliveries. The outside sitting was extremelyuncomfortable and the Sun was aiming straight at the tables. They took over 40 minutes to bring my order, even though I was theonly one eating at the restaurant. Once the food arrived, my husband and I were already not that hungry. The rice felt staleand I could tell the salmon was definitely not the freshest. The baked mussels were a gamble. Some came nice, some camehorrible. The 911 roll was tough. It's understandable that this business got a B on cleanliness and quality control from LACounty. Without even asking if we wanted to eat more, they gave us a check, and when my husband wanted to try one of thedesserts, the waiter refused to serve us due to us being in the restaurant for too long. I've never heard of this before. Theircredit/debit machine is old and slow. It took over 15 minutes to try to get our card to go. The whole time, the waiter wasblaming us, and when the machine finally connected online, the payment was processed. After the payment was finally processed,the waiter kept haggling us for tips. Saying that in America, is rude to pay less than 25%. My husband was nice enough to paywhat he wanted, so he'd leave us alone. The fish they keep as pets are on the dirtiest aquarium I've ever seen. AMAZING FOOD! This has got to be one of the best sushi places I?ve ever been to! Their sushi is to die for! It?s a hole in the... wall place next to a 7/11 it was my first time and I was like what is this where it is? As they do say though never judge a bookby it?s cover, this place went above and beyond with their mouth watering sushi and excellent service! Our waiter kept checkingup on us and was excited to learn it was our first time. I am definitely coming again! Read more
This little hidden gem is in the same plaza as the 7 eleven, so it's really easy to miss. It is tiny with about 6 indoor tables... and 2 outdoor two-tops. The service is fantastic and they have a really extensive menu with several inexpensive combo choices. Read more
Ordered through Grub hub and it came so fast! I also got the lunch combination and everything was hot and fresh and tasty. The... sushi I ordered was the Philly Roll with soy paper and the Chirashi Roll. I also added a side of Eel, Spicy Mayo and Ponzu! Read more
UPD. Sushi are really good for the price. The one thing that missing is great customer service. They never ask how are you and... overall the attitude is not the best I would rate this place 5 stars. Even tho I tried better sushi. But let me tell you -dragon roll aka sunset roll that tastes really good for $11.99? Shut up and take my money Beef udon was also pretty good. I've known Sunny ever since he worked at another sushi restaurant out in Glendale. I don't go there anymore because he was the... reason I went there in the first place. So naturally when he opened his own restaurant I had to try it. I love the food here,great sushi, excellent prices, and of course Sunny is awesome. I saw the controversial video about this place in tik tok and decided to check for myself. First of all, half of the tables... were still dirty, even though the restaurant was empty. The sushi rice felt stale and the mussels definitely weren'tfresh. The older waiter was okay, but the younger waiter kept haggling for tips and when he thought an $6 tip to a $22 meal wastoo low, he insulted me. Read more
