Reviews for Soga Sushi in North Haven, CT
I only ordered take out so I have no opinions about the quality of food/service for dine in. The service was okay but the sushi... was terrible. We ordered some regular and specialty rolls and everything tasted the same (bland, could barely taste anyspecialty sauces). The Kani salad had very little crabmeat, was not made well and again was bland. First time trying this placeand I would say it is not worth going back to. Read more
Fantastic sushi! I am so glad I gave this place a shot! Quality sushi at a fair price!
What a great hidden gem. My friends turned me on to this place. Won't go anywhere else. Freshest sushi, great specials, very... friendly and service oriented stuff. Read more
This is one of the best little sushi restaurants around CT! Ive been to a lot of sushi joints around the state and this is at... the top of my list. The sushi chefs know what they're doing and are so beyond nice, always asking how everything is and theydon't hesitate to correct anything that may be wrong. The quality of the fish they use ishigher than other delicious places ivebeen. The color is nice and bright and it melts in your mouth. The staff is super friendly, too. This a great little hole inthe wall place in an unassuming shopping plaza. Its worth a try if you like going to different sushi restaurants! Read more
The staff is great!! The sushi is so fresh! A great place to gather with friends!
Looks plain from the outside, but an absolute local gem! The food tastes amazing and the presentation is excellent. The staff is... very attentive, and everything looks clean and well taken care of. Some of the best sushi and tempura I have had in years! Theyeven threw in complimentary orange slices for dessert. Absolutely would reccomend, and if I could give it 6 stars I would! Read more
I thought it was another one of those fake Japanese restaurants but I was impressed. It?s a bit expensive but you pay for the... quality. I?ve visited Japan quite a few times and have roamed its streets looking for good food. This place is not purelyJapanese ? hence the word ?fusion? in its characterization. Yet they do an excellent job putting new touches to Japanesecreations. Their fish is fresher and cuisine more innovative than Sonobana ? my long time favorite in CT. Yes, the chefs arenot Japanese ? and usually that?s a bad sign ? but I?m impressed by their good skills and impeccable service. Read more
