After having come across their Instagram account some time ago, we?ve talked about eating at this semi-permanent food truck... often, but just haven?t been able to get there. After months of drooling over their posts, we finally made it happen and it didnot disappoint. I (JH) have never had Venezuelan food before so I wasn?t sure what to get. After the kind gentleman explainedthe menu items to us, I ended up with a Cachapa with ham. In full disclosure I don?t know what a cachapa is ?supposed? to tastelike so I have no baseline to compare it to, but as far as flavor goes, this was fantastic. The outside reminded me of athinner, slightly crispier arepa. The sweet corn wasn?t too sweet and the butter gave it a great sweet/salty combo. The insideis filled with what?s called De Mano cheese?think of it like a mozzarella type cheese. And boy did they fill it! In addition tothe cheese I added ham, but I could have gone with smoked pork, steak, more cheese, sausage, etc. AND I could have gotten asmany meats as I wanted to, they?re just all an up charge?obviously. I (JD) had the UBF Burger and it was fantastic. Thismonster comes with Lettuce, Tomato, Cheese, Bacon , Egg, Cabbage, Potato Chips, Ketchup, Mayo, Mustard, Pink Sauce, Green Sauce, and a side of delicious fries. When a sandwich has things like ?pink sauce? and ?green sauce? listed, count me in! The burgerwas massive. I got the double beef, but you can customize from a single to a quad, as well as pick one of their other meatoptions (see JH?s review for list). The ?potato chips? are the delicious little potato sticks and they were a nice addition tothe sandwich. Their French fries were amazing. I don?t know if they put a really lite breading on them, but they had adelightful little crispness to them. Not listed on the menu is a house made drink described to us as kind of a sweettea/lemonade, but they use real tea leaves, cane sugar and other ingredients that weren?t listed, but tasted differently w Read more

I had just left work and saw this for truck was open. I've seen it before, but didn't want to cook tonight and decided to... stop. I looked at the picture menu displayed where you order, and decided on the Platacón. I wanted to try it because the bunsare made from plantains. Choice of meat, so I went for the beef. First, I was happy with the portion size. I asked for a to-gobox, thinking I'd only eat half. Second, I fell in love with the sandwich. I ended up eating the whole thing because it was sodelicious. The guys were super nice and were happy to help me understand the menu when I asked questions. GIVE THIS PLACE A TRY! Read more

I have no experience with Venezuelan food, so this comes honest from a first timer. It was excellent. The food was all great,... the beef wasn't some cheap ground stuff but chunks of beef. The sauce whatever it was, complicated the sandwiches we hadperfectly. It was messy, but the best things are. Arguably the only thing that was just average is the fries, while by no meansbad they are you basic steak fries. But the sandwiches were fantastic. The gentlemen who worked there was quite friendly, andpatient with my inability to pronounce anything I ordered close to correctly. I didn't eat there, I was to go, but the seatingarea is well lit, clean and welcoming. If I had one bit of advice it would be too have some marking for the entrance to theparking area for night, it's easy to miss (the actual area is very well lit but the turn ins were hard to see) 100% recommendyou try this place, the plantain burger was incredible.
