This was our first time trying Southern Subs. Both Subs were awesome! The Roast Beef w/Provolone cheese and a Ham w/Provolone... cheese were some of the best. I was so hungry, I forgot to get a picture before I ate 1/2 of it. But Jaime has the art of makinga sub, down to a science. And everything fit nicely in the take out container. We've tried a couple of new/fairly new Sub shops in N. Ft. Myers. One, the Customer service was amazing, but the Subs were... mediocre. Tonight we tried Southern Subs on Pine Island Rd. in NFM. OMGoodness!! Both Subs, a Roast Beef w/Provolone, and a Hamw/Provolone...was Amazing!! We've decided that this is our "New" Sub Shop!! We were traveling through for business and found this gem. Best hoagies ever!! The bread was so fresh, as were all of the other... ingredients. Went into this place three months ago as they were just starting out saw that it was very clean. Ordered a sandwich simple and... neat. As an HVAC guy that works in restaurants , I recognized how clean it was. Came back and found a cheesesteak on the menuthis time, as they are developing 3/4 of their menu and now has a bunch of slamming sandwiches on it! I do not normally ordermayonnaise on my cheesesteak, but do like to take it as the chef orders. They use very good products and fresh. The presentation was on par. The food was great. The toasting technique made the sandwich. I only have a few complaints. That is... when ordering, I only wanted a turkey sub. I was charged for an Ultimate. They just left off the other two meats. ???? That andyou don't really have the option of half subs, and it's $3. extra for a drink and chips. I definitely will be back. Just notdining in. There really isn't any seating, and parking is very limited. Take out is my way. Maybe call ahead to pick up. Read more
I went for the Ruben...not the regular ruben..THEEE ultimate ruben, and boy did it deliver. Hands down one of the best ones I've... ever had..the owner is extremely personable and makes the sandwiches himself with all fresh ingredients. Will definitely returnand try more items of the menu. 10/5 stars. Read more
