We stopped at the north fort myers rib city last night. I normally drive past this one and go to the cape coral one but I gave... them a chance that was the worst mistake I have made. The 1/2 rack of ribs I ordered was so dry I could not eat them and the 1/2rack was more like a 1/4 rack of ribs. The Mac and cheese was terrible I'm not sure how long it was sitting in the pan but Icould not choke that down. I literally payed 50$ for a rack of ribs and a 1/2 rack with chicken tender combo. My food was okay. Ordered mild chicken tenders and ate my fries first. When I finally went to eat the chicken the sauce was like... yellow greasy sludge in the bottom of the basket and my husband's beans were dark dark brown.. burnt. Read more
Rib City North Fort Myers ~ has been recommended to us by many of our neighbors and friends. We finally had a chance to go... yesterday and were not disappointed. Immediately greeted at the door and sat down. Restaurant was clean. Korina was ourwaitress and what a sweet gem. I got the smoked brisket lunch platter (best brisket in a very long time) with corn and friesand partner got ribs with baked beans and mac & cheese. We also split a basket of onion rings, DELISH. The sauces are alsovery good as well as the fresh brewed iced tea. Prices are very decent. Will be returning!! Read more
While the food was good, I learned when I got home, that I paid a 4% service charge. When I called Rib City to find out what it... was for, I was told it was for the plastic ware and BBQ sauce and napkins. I was not told any of this at the restaurant or whenI called in the order. There seems to be a lack of transparency from the company. Also there was an increase in the price that Ipaid compared to the online prices I saw when I ordered. I have not been to Rib City in over a decade and I am very glad we stopped for lunch. Brooke was an excellent server. She... checked on us appropriately, answered our questions about the food items and was very friendly. The manager even checked to seehow everything was. The Original Skyscraper beef sandwich was amazing. The mac & cheese was cheesy and delicious. The Frenchfries were crispy and cooked perfectly. The sweet sauce was my favorite,but I loved the tangy sauce and mustard sauce, too. Wewill be going back frequently. Read more
This was my families first visit to Fort Meyer's beach, Florida. My grandparents snowbird down here and always talk about Rib... city. So it was the first place on the list of places to eat when we got here! We had a late lunch/ early dinner,so it was notcrowded at all. You can smell the deliciousness before you even get out of the car! My grandpa said I was getting the slab and ahalf, so thats what i got! I did not regret it. The ribs were cooked perfectly and there are many different sauces to choosefrom (I tried them all and was very satisfied). The wife ordered the pulled pork meal, which had great flavor! Service was greatat well, we were catching up as a family and the server gave us the perfect amount of attention! These good reviews have to be fake. This is absolutely, without a doubt, the worst BBQ place I?ve ever eaten. I started with a... brisket sandwich. The meat tasted like it was boiled or cooked in a crockpot. I?m not kidding. They must keep it warm in water.It was that very light grey, you only get when something is cooked in water. Chewy, tough, with zero flavor. One bite and Iasked the waitress to take it back. It was that bad. So, I tried the pulled pork. Even worse! Chewy pulled pork, that wasdefinitely made in a crock pot. The only way you get any smoke flavor is from drowning the ?meat? in their liquid smoke flavoredBBQ sauce. I covered the sandwich in the bag cole slaw, and the ?homemade? Velveeta shells and cheese, then I still only chokeddown half. By far the most garbage BBQ place in southwest florida.
