We go visit here 2x a year and service has been slow to to pandemic. Always greeted with friendly staff who have been very... gracious . The roast beef french dip sandwhich was huge and delicious. Salads are very good size and ribs were delicious. Menuwas a lil pricey but good portions. We were sat in a corner booth with a candle on the table and even tho it was busy due toschool vaction, it still felt romantic. Definitely love going! Read more
Locales told us the food is good but way way over priced. So we decided to go . Usually if there are high price food the food,... surroundings and even romantic may be involved. Boy oh boy, wrong on all. We had maybe a 5 minute Waite in a not so nice ,lobby, or maybe tables that were for employees to hang out.. people I guess was supposed to stand and Wait. We got seated andTV's were blaring and the rooms were so chopped up but did see bar was the biggest. The restrooms were only made for 1 person ata time. I ordered prime rib 8oz for 32.00. It came with a starch or vegetable. I ordered a salad and baked potato. Hubby ordereda 8 oz sirloin 21.00. Here comes our salads in a plastic bowl with dressing in a tiny plastic tacky container. No bread orcrackers. Here comes our meals again presentation was ponderosa settings. The silverware was old, thin and tacky. Our salt andpepper shakers were awful. We had to use our salad forks for our meals. Baked potato was served sour cream in a tiny tackycontainer, ready for this one, tiny tiny sealed frozen butter. Which it took a couple minutes to on do, as food sat there andgot cold. Finally hubby asked for bread and hostess says hold and goes ask, waitress comes and says it would be awhile becauseit's in the freezer, hmmm 6:00 dinner , and bread in the freezer. Another great example of the saying ?don?t judge a book by it?s cover?. Exterior and menu prices lead one to believe this is a... higher end restaurant, but interior design and atmosphere are outdated and in need of a cleaning. The bottom of our table wascoated in chewing gum, laminated menus were dirty and sticky, fountain drinks served in plastic Pepsi cups seemed watered down.Food was average and our server was nice, however we are not likely to return or recommend. I had no great expectations upon being seated here, but the food wasn't bad. My husband likes his chicken sandwich with sweet... potato fries and I liked the wild mushroom ravioli & the $10 margarita was actually pretty strong! I did not look at or noticethis but my husband mentioned that our waiter's sneakers were very dirty and was kind of off-putting. Otherwise, worth checkingout for a quick bite after shopping at the outlet stores nearby. Read more
Atmosphere was nothing special kinda outdated. They stored the utensils at the front entrance on a table were customers sat and... waited for there tables to be ready. Really kinda gross. We sanitized them immediately upon sitting down. The service wasaverage and the adult beverages were ok. Nothing special. The prime rib was very tender which is good but the rest of the foodwas lacking flavor and average at best. The price was Decent. I probably wouldn't go back again. Read more
Merlino's had good tasting food but the food and menu were relatively basic for the most part. The outdoor seating was very... beautiful and comfortable. The lady at the hostess table was super friendly and great to deal with, but our waitress, who was intraining, was on the rude side and did not like us splitting our bill. I would try the food again. From the moment we walked after a long drive we were warmly greeted and seated. Server was attentive and knowledgeable of the... menu, making great recommendations. Really enjoyed the preparation of my steak and cut. Wasn't worried about the sides, butagain the server recommended the butter squash and it was to die for.
