OK well let?s start? Started off with a free shake Oreo delicious, it was a compliment a fake at least that?s what I thought and... as we went to the counter to recover me and the wife that is the first young lady started to process appreciates however I?m nota young lady came from the back and try to charge us for the free shakes does not sit well with me however I kept my composureand the first time lady was able to fix the situation. Next we place our orders on the kiosk heard the gentleman that greeted usinstructions. We didn?t car shakes and decided to sit outside but before that we grabbed our drinks heard instructions on thekiosk, however I was informed to throw away my cup wifey because unfortunately due to COVID-19 they needed to serve my lemonadeso I threw it away no biggie. As me and the wife sat outside to enjoy our great milkshakes about five minutes later thegentleman that greeted us came back and said unfortunately you?re gonna have to come back to the counter and re-order your foodbecause your order did not go through at the kiosk OK so that?s what we did. This was a little frustrating however again wemove past it. The final straw for me once they forgot the cheese on my wife?s cheeseburger, this was not the problem thoughproblem was when I went back inside to ask them to put the cheese on the burger the gentleman that greeted me again informed methat he would have to hand me the cheese to put on our burger ourselves because they are not allowed to do that so he promptlyhanded me a piece of limp cheddar cheese or American I DK in a piece of toilet paper at the cash counter and he watched as I putthe cheese on my wife?s burger myself! Really you handed me cheese ???? to put on the burger ???? instead of just remaking oradding the cheese? From the time we walked in it was an awkward vibe, almost as if they were not use to people or service butstill I kept my composure and pushed forward. Now to the food. Love that it is locally owned and operated! Staff were very helpful and friendly! Love the fact that they cook with love--that's... very important! Love the rustic seating, but I'd recommend some cushionage. Burger was great! The cheesey fries aren't exactlylike Fatz's (they have spoiled us!), but they are still pretty good AND homemade. It is so refreshing to visit a restaurant where the food is so good, every member of your family enjoys their meal. We have 4... children and typically at least 1 child is unhappy with their food. Not at the Come Back Shack though, instead they asked tocome back the very next day. The food was delicious, the staff friendly and the ambience more than pleasant. The best burgers I've had in a very long time and I've had burgers from nearly every burger joint around!!! This place tops them... all and I will definitely go back! I had the Friend Green Tomato Burger, but in a lettuce wrap since I have to eat gluten freedue to a gluten sensitivity. This, by the way, is my only suggestion: get gluten free buns please because not all of us likeeating lettuce (which I happen to be sensitive to as well, but refuse to eat gluten, so a little bit of the lettuce was fine).The fries are really delicious as well! Food here fantastic, service is usually prompt and polite. However, the one issue with this place is the dirty lobby. I've been... here several times, we always eat in and we always have to clean off a table. With how expensive the menu is here for burgersand fries, the lobby needs to be much cleaner. First time trying this place out. We were very impressed! The food and sauces were excellent. One worker took the time to tell... us about the place and answer our questions. She checked on us throughout our time dining. Would definitely recommend. Will beback! Read more
First visit here. Found the burgers quite delicious, albeit on the small side. The chicken tenders box was a huge portion though... (especially for only $7). They also had huge servings of French fries -- Seasoned Fries & Cajun Fries -- which were perfectlyseasoned and very tasty. You can get the pretzel with cheese sauce &/or a small cup of Nutella -- amazing! Drinks were also verygood. Employees were nice and fast. We're definitely coming back! Read more
Me and my boyfriend love come back shack! Seriously some of the best burgers and their fries ARE THE BEST! Get them plain, with... sauce, come back style or topped with pulled pork its so good every way And that come back sauce is absolute perfection. Mynewest burger I tried last week was the fried green tomato burger with pimento cheese and it was absolutely delicious! Themilkshakes are rich and yummy! Always a favorite place to stop and eat.
