Great sweet bakery items and wonderful lattes. Try the quiche and breakfast sandwiches! If you have time, get the latte to go... and walk the boardwalk at North Beach, even in the winter it's a beautiful morning walk. Update: They've expanded their sweetbakery items, as well as their trinkets. If you're looking for some eclectic gifts, you can grab a coffee and browse theirtrinkets. Read more

A cozy little bakery with an artsy vibe and a beautifully inclusive aesthetic and atmosphere. We ordered their bacon egg and... cheese on everything bagels and they were delicious! The drip coffee was a little weak so next time I'll get espresso. Everyonewas kind and accommodating, and loved that we were trying to reduce our plastic/paper disposables use! They had a largeassortment of cute and witty coffee/bakery apparel/mugs/totes. Will definitely be coming back when we're in the area! Thanks fordoing what you're doing! Read more

Great spot to grab a coffee & take a walk on the boardwalk! Tried their Lavender Latte & Apple Walnut Muffin. The chunks of... apples in the muffin made for a delicious bite. Wish there was more of a lavender taste in the latte, but it still tasted great. They have gluten-free options too. Read more

I went into the Bakist on Father?s Day to get a muffin to go with my coffee. I ordered their ?sunrise muffin? which the person... behind the counter said was loaded with raisins, shredded carrots, nuts, etc. Sounded great. But it was a great mistake. I?vebeen having these muffins at a variety of coffee shops for years and expected something moist, tasty, and a perfect companion tomy coffee. Not to be. It was dry, without any real flavor, and I ended up picking through it to find something edible. Iprobably threw away 75% of the muffin. Prior to submitting these comments I noted I was not the only one with similar comments, ranging from 23 hours to 8 months ago. You would think a bakery could make a moist, tasteful muffin. Would highly recommendthey change their recipe for their muffins. Read more

We come to The Bakist quite frequently & love it! The best spot to grab breakfast & coffee and take a stroll by the beach... afterwards. I almost always get the Breakfast Club on a croissant (which is heavenly!) but today we branched out- tried theAvocado Toast w/ Pesto & the Breakfast Wrap- both were delicious! Service is excellent, food, baked goods, coffee, vibe- such agreat spot! Today was also the most crowded I?ve ever seen it, yet everything came out quick & just as tasty as ever. Read more

I love this place and frequent often especially for their baked goods. Dashed in just at closing yesterday and bought 2... cupckaes, a slice of carrot cake, snickerdoodle cookie and blueberry muffin for my sisters and I. The cupcakes were super dryas well as the blueberry muffin (which is one of my favs) and had a funny taste like baking powder or something not mixed well(see pics). I'm hoping this was a rare occasion and not new recipes or a new baker! If it's not broke please don't fix it and gobake to your delicious quality baked goods! Read more

Great dirty chai latte and avocado toast with pesto tomato, cream cheese and feta. This little place is possibly the coolest... little bake shop I've ever been too. Relaxed atmosphere, doesn't take itself too seriously and their merchandise is hilarious. Two outdoor tables, no indoor seating, sustainable packaging, great people. You guys are cool Read more
