Reviews for Fox And Fiddle in North Bay, ON
The cocktails are good. The food and prices are not. The servers wear skimpy clothes; not professional. Would not recommend.
Great food, emily was a great server!!!! Some food items tend to be a bit pricey, otherwise no other issues.
We had a wonderful experience there over the weekend. Thank you! Our food was delicious and our server, Emily, was wonderful... and charming! Read more
Great food... and our waitress was awesome too..joked around with us and made us feel very welcome
Don't ever order the nachos. .had way to many jalapeño peppers on it...over powered the nachos. .couldn't eat them they were... way to HOT..sent them back and they wanted us to pay for something we couldn't eat so we asked for the manager and she said shehad to pay for them if we didn't. So rude!!!! But we said we should not have to pay for these so she did end up taking them offour bill. The waitresses were certainly not people persons. Need attitude adjustments! Read more
I had lunch at The Fox and Fiddle today during a gorgeous mid-day business meeting. The waitress was really pleasant but forgot... to introduce herself. She was apologetic after she keyed in the wrong salad for my friend. The salad that I had was aboveaverage, but the chicken did not taste fresh. The meal was saved by the delicious Geteway City Brewery beer which had a spritzycomposition on a good pour. Overall for this experience I would recommend another patio, but wouldn't write them off after onelackluster performance. Read more
Up here visiting family and decided to hit up the pub before we head back south. The service was phenomenal! The food was all... you could ask for, for pub grub. Great portions, hardy, and very tasty. I came here for a Guinness but their supplier shortchanged them over Christmas and didn't deliver their kegs of the sweet, sweet dark nectar!?!? Can't fault the Fox & Fiddle forthat. Their soup was fabulous ???? Read more
If you want a bar to belly up to, and enjoy a few drinks while watching TV, this is your place. It seemed to have a decent... number of regulars at the bar 50+yrs old. It was super dark, which is great for ambience but awful for trying to read ourmenus. My eyes aren't THAT old, and I struggled, as did my date. The server was very friendly, and checked on us often, sopoints to her- good job! I ordered wings, which were very overcooked (as were my friends), nearly burnt (black on the thinbits), which the sauce mostly hid, so they were petrified but edible. I ordered the soup of the day, which was cream ofmushroom. It really wasn't anything spectacular. It was cream, mushrooms, nice texture on the mushrooms. It could have usedsome flavour building, like beef broth, onions, garlic, some herbs, and something with a bit of kick (wine from the bar, maybe?)for elevating all the flavors and helping the mushrooms shine. In the winter, nothing beats a cozy soup, some garlic buttercrostini or something on the side would have been beauty to add. There were no crackers offered. So, we appreciated the serverso much, but were disappointed in the food. Read more
