This will be lengthy. Not a fan of the Waffle House. This visit was by far the worst I've ever experienced. The young lady... waiting our table had a MAJOR ATTITUDE with us and I'm not sure why. We made our order and my father-in-law (and I) asked forour drink to be brought with our meal. I also asked for a cup of coffee. No problem there. When my coffee arrived, it was warmand the waitress didn't bring coffee creamer, so I watched and waited for my creamer (which should have came before or rightafter my coffee) for about a minute. All this while the waitress talked with other customers and co-workers. When I asked formy creamer, she said she is gtg it and kinda rolled her eyes. So, no worries. When she brought the creamers, I hadcoffee. While waiting for the food to arrived, I'm just scanning the workers and how things were going. I observed workersarguing among themselves and several of them with attitudes - including a "supervisor". The waitress brought my father-in-lawhis drink and he asked was his food ready, to which the waitress said "not yet" and he reminded her he wanted his drink with hisfood. So she asked was he going to drink it and he said "No". So she took the drink and rolled her eyes as walked off. I sawher. Now she brings our food. My food came with a waffle that didn't arrived when she brought my food, so I waited....again. After about 1 min, I asked about my Waffle and she said "I'm gtg it." When it came and I noticed the syrup container had olddrippings on them. After dressing my Waffle and eating the first bite, I noticed it was not fully cooked in the middle so Iasked for the Mgr. When he showed up I explained all to the manager I was experiencing. He ended up taking the cost of theWaffle off our order. Our waitress NOT ONCE asked if everything was okay or did we need anything. She did to the customers infront and in the back of us. By this time, I had determined she was NOT getting a tip. Great customer service, this place had normal food selection but everything was fresh and friendly. Cleanliness was what you... would expect at a normal waffle House, and not amazing but not horrible. Read more
Edit: So I decided to go back to see if I can get some breakfast, Or would I be turned down again, well, 1 star to 5 because... Skylar is amazing!! Great customer service. Thank you Skylar, you're awesome!!!! I went in to place a to go order, I wasstanding !! there for 5 minutes before I was told that I can not order to go, it's only for dine in. This is my favorite waffle house. There isn't a morning I haven't walked in and everyone behind the counter hasn't said "hello!"... with a smile. If Skyler is working , music is playing and everybody is singing. It's refreshing to see staff enjoy each other.It makes the food taste better. Your coffee cup stays topped, the waffles are perfect and you leave feeling a little better forthe day. Read more
